Steven Gerrard has demanded talks with Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez to find out why he was substituted in Saturday's 2-1 derby victory over Everton. (Various)

      ..reworded:

Steven Gerrard is to discuss with Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez to find out why he was substituted in Saturday's 2-1 derby victory over Everton.

      ...but that doesn't make headlines.

      Frank.
      Francis.

...."Any team that concedes as few goals as we concede is going to be tough to play against..." - Fernando Torres on Liverpool

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

      A defensive mid for £18m?

It's being done internally. Why blow it out of proportion ? It's none of our concerns anyway, as Stevie must put the team first.

Gerrard said on Sunday he'd be having a word but wouldn't be "banging on any doors". Lazy journalism and a slow news day.

Maybe you're not a ****hole after all.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Why would both Rafa and Gerrard comment about it then?

I saw that as well but it still doesn't mean we can't discuss it surely?

btw, i'm not criticising gerrard here cause i don't know who's to blame for this.
Totally agree with this. It's ludicrous that Rafa needs to come and tell the press why he made a substitution...

Of course you can discuss it.

Serious question - what is there to discuss?

Because the press gob****ted about a non issue and probably some supporters falling for the spin.
