Thanjk you.

You do the same and see just how many high risk passes that Gerrard actually connected. It's a lot i can tell you.
I DO AGREE with you. He needs to be better to mix it up. He wants too much to happen too fast. But he did put a lot of good tempo in our game tonight but too many of out players can't handle it!
Probably, but many of SGs passes also went astray, many!
I think it is admirable that he wants to be creative, but he has to pick the right moments better for me. Also true, he seems to rush them, but that is probably because he desperately wants us to win.
He was playing too deep in the first half, then he improved in the 2nd.
SG was ok today in my book.
One of our best.
--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--
He had one good run to the line in 90 mins.
Gave the ball away more than Momo tonight.
Don't agree.
Sorry.
Thought this was his best game.
Was always taking players on, trying to create. Showing for the ball. Not everyone was...
Had some good runs, created some chances, decent shot too.

We can see what he is good at, let's set up the team to exploit that. Seems pretty obvious to me! Same for you, or am I smoking too much dope?
Yes. The whole stadium should say so instead of singing YNWA on Sunday. Then, just watch us win.
Take a leaf out of the Besiktas supporters. They were right behind their team from start to finish. Never heard that at Anfield for a long long time. Best supporters in the world my arse. Fecking hypocrites yes.
I thought we played ok today, certainly a lot better than Marseilles and Porto. They got a freak opening goal, which allowed them to sit further and further back. We had a lot of possession and applied a lot of pressure. Fairplay to them they held out well and did what they could on the break.
Their fans were immense btw, could teach us a thing or 2 about atmosphere.

Their fans were awesome, but I'm sure we'd have silenced them had we scored.
What surprised me about tonight is we seemed to abandon our European style that's served us so well. We normally play the patient possession game so well in Europe - slow short passes, everyone moving forward and back together etc. Today it seemed different - like we were feeling the pressure, we were hurrying and getting rid of it quick etc, almost trying to pass it Arsenal style, although we were much less accurate at it than them.
Seems to me the occasion and pressure got to us tonight and we lost our heads. It wasn't our normal composed European performance.
Justify, your sweeping statements. Just because you throw an emotional fit, doesn't mean we should believe someone as shallow as you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Believe me?
What are you about?
People should be allowed to express their opinions without a jobsworth like yourself coming over all righteous and all knowing.
You are not an authority on here.
I respect Reds' opinion by the way, I may not agree with it. But I would just like to know if he really thinks Kuyt's alright, or if he doesn't want to be lambasted by some keyboard warrior.
I can understand when people like CharlieMansonsSquint (is that the Niall from Koptalk??) come on and vent their stress on here (that was one of your best by the way). Our results in the Champions League have been EXTREMELY poor... Losing against teams such as Marseille (at home, no less) and Besiktas is not good enough for Liverpool Football Club.
However, I cannot blame team selection for our recent poor performances. Bar Crouch and Yossi, that was probably our strongest team possible and should have easily beaten Besiktas. I don't blame Rafa for not playing Crouch. To me, he really looks like he couldn't give a ****. WHY THE **** does a professional football player have to delay coming on the field because he doesn't have shin pads and has to borrow a pair. Every game Crouch has played this season he has looked **** and disinterested. All of you who say he's right to be pissed off, well NO HE ****ING ISN'T !!! He gets paid an enormous amount of money to go to training and play with 100% commitment to the manager, his teammates, the fans and most of all, the shirt, whether he plays a full game or 2 minutes. If he wants to vent his frustrations by ****ing around, then GET RID OF HIM ASAP !!
There is no doubt that we are missing 3 important elements of the spine of our team in Agger, Alonso and Torres. The qualities that those 3 bring to the team are the exact qualities that are missing from our game at the moment. Agger brings composure, confidence and ball playing ability to the defence (and also puts Sami back on the sidelines which can only be a good thing at the moment). Alonso is the brain of Liverpool FC and anybody that can't see that is kidding themselves. It is no wonder that our results (and performances) have taken a dramatic turn for the worse as soon as he suffered his injury. We may not have been great at Portsmouth, but a point away to them is not such a bad result at all... He runs the team, great vision, passing ability, great organiser, tactically disciplined and a much better defensive midfielder than many of you give him credit for... Torres is a goalscorer, plain and simple. Without him in the team, you just cannot see where the goals are going to come from (unless Stevie gets his arse into gear and stops missing clear chances like 3 of them tonight).
With these 3 all possibly back against Arsenal (and maybe Kewell if he pulls up ok in the reserves match tomorrow to add some much needed balance to the team) I think we will beat them. This is exactly the type of game I would wish for right now because if the players can't get up for this one, then they may as well **** off. This weekends match will really answer some questions about the manager, the captain and the rest of their team.
Good post mate, well balanced, pretty much agree with all of that myself

And I'm not pointing fingers. Honest.
dunno if you mean me mate but I will answer just incase..way before we signed Kuyt I said his role for us will be different than what it was at Feynoord..there, he was the focal point of the team, scoring 30 odd goals a season and assisting a few as well..now with a bigger club like LFC comes a different responsibility and a different role..Kuyt is more like a small fish in a big pond instead of the opposite at Feynoord..now lets talk about Rafa and how Kuyt fits into this..since his days at Valenthia Rafa prefered a team of workers, a team of shared responsiblity and team that wants to win at all costs..he never had 1 strikers netting 25 odd goals a season..what he had was a set of strikers who share the goals..10 here, 15 there + goals from midfield..Kuyt falls into that category now..he WILL NOT score 30 goals like he did in Holland but he will get you the 15 goals + 5-10 assists a season + HARD WORK(i know you hate me saying this but we DO WANT our REDS to play hard and fight for the shirt, do we not ?)..so I think people here including YOU are way TOO harsh on the lad..have way high expectations of the team without giving them a chance..its nearly November, we are unbeaten in the league..getting some important players back from injuries and have a chance of ****TING the poncy gooners come Sunday..to sum it up..I like Kuyt, I believe he will deliver AND dont give a monkeys**** if I get lambasted for saying this.
We're the only 2 with any real faith left in Kuyt on the site it seems Art. Wanna form a new clique?

I thought Kuyt was ok ... Everybody is expecting him to be 30 goal a season striker he was in the Dutch league but it's just not going to happen.
His first touch can be real terrible sometimes, but his one two's to bring midfielders and his strike partner into play are fantastic. He has done a few of those deft chips over the defence line into the path of a surging player the last couple of games now only to see them **** it up. If those players could ****ing finish when an opportunity is given on a platter like that, people would not be complaining about Dirk, rather praising him.
I think he is a solid player. Gives 100% every game and does his job well (ie. Link Midfielder).
I think his partnership with Torres is extremely encouraging and I'd like someone to show the stats of how the team has fared this season when the two of them have started up front.
