Rafa and Pako were a great team for Valencia and us. They have been together for 10 years and won a lot of trophies.Originally posted by kopdan View Postpersonally I think its a weak excuse to blame Pako's leaving
Rafa has won nothing without Pako. Just look at Man U and you can see how important the right number two is. You can also look at what happened when Houllier's first no2 with us left.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm sure he was a great trainer though but I dont think him going matters a bit"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

I think he was talking about before they paired up and he got the sack at CF Extremadura. His success has been when paired with Pako, at Tenerife and Valencia and with us.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostYeah, I'm disgusted we haven't won any trophies in the past two months...
We come not to play.

Now we will see how great manager Rafa really is without Pako.
I think he will turn it around and I back him 100% but Rafa is up to one of his biggest challenges as a manager right now.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

No we don’t really know if Pako offered anything but perhaps, and I can’t say i’ve seen it posted on here before, it’s not just a professional partnership that’s gone because of an alleged bust up but a long standing friendship as well. If this is the case, and I did say IF, then you could understand Rafa losing concentration. I know for a fact if I had a big bust up with one of my best friends my professional side would suffer for a period.Originally posted by kopdan View Postwe dont know if Paco offered anything though do we? Just a thought (probably a $hite one though) I would throw into the mix.
As for my thoughts on whether we need a new Assistant I would say we do. As for who - haven’t got a clue at the mo but would say he needs to be someone who brings not only tactical nous but be a hell of a motivator (I know i’m typing the obvious).

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

I think something is up, its clear to see. However I think Rafa is not 100% clear of any wrong doing."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

Are you suggesting that Pako is an uphill gardener?Originally posted by SimonNo7 View PostDo you think that could be the problem? Pako’s spending his gardening leave there and he won’t let anyone run up it!
