I think it`s unfair to label Voronin as a Kuyt type player.Voronin will at leeast have a shot,Kuyt is never close enough to the goal to have a shot.

Play Voronin with Torres or Crouch and he will shoot and score.
Play Kuyt with Torres or Crouch and he will work hard and have no end product as usual.

The point is that we don't know how important Pako were.

We also don't know if Rafa is the better manager of the two because they have done and won everything as a team.

Rafa hasn't won anything without Pako. He has been sacked without Pako.

They set up the tactics together, they discussed tactics on the bench together.

      Great team.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think a number 2 is an absolute must for a manager like Rafa. A stubborn, strong willed individual like rafa needs at least 1 person who can say no to him.

          Agree on that.
Someone to bounce ideas off and who can talk back would be nice.
Maybe he has a new one of those now, but maybe not?

Not sure if we can pin much on the Pako thing though.

Rafa without Pako is like Ferguson without Kidd, McClaren or Quieroz, Kendall without Harvey, Jewell without Hutchings, Allardyce without Lee or George Michael without Andrew Ridgeley...

                  Keegan

Rafa organises the defence, Keegan inspires the attack. Perfect combo

Depends which way he is facing (I can’t believe I just typed that!)

Wouldn’t of thought he would become someones number 2 plus didn’t he say recently that he wouldn’t manage again (I also take this to mean he wouldn’t get involved with any team in any capacity).

I like the idea of Gary Mac, he has an excellent footballing brain, but do we need someone with more experience.

The one name that is starting to sound appealing is Paul Jewell but again would he be willing to be someones number 2.
