    Reina At Fault?

Havent seen this posted anywhere else, apologies if it has been.

Anyone think that Pepe should have had the Fabregas shot yesterday and may have been a bit at fault for it?
Personally i did, he was caught on his near post and i was disappointed he conceded what i considered to be a fairly weak goal.

Not criticising him at all, more interested in if anybody else saw it the same way?

I'm sure Reina would be the first to admit that he should have done better, but I don't think you can blame him for the goal. He was caught off balance and thus could do nothing about it. 9/10 times he probably would save it, but i'm certainly not attributing and blame to him

I'm not going to blame him but the shot was rather soft and he maybe could've done better I think he was a bit off balance or something to make a proper attempt.

I was disappointed and it is something that I would expect him to stop, but he was caught off balance.

I'd blame who ever should have been tracking Fabregas, they obviously were concentrating on the job. Had Xabi still been on I don't think he would have found himself in that much space.

I dont think you can point the finger at Reina at all, the fact of it is that Cesc caught Reina off guard and off balance by doing the unexpected and taking that shot way too early. It was quick thinking and quicker feet on his behalf. Whilst disappointed that we didnt nick all 3 points I have to say Arsenal fully deserved the draw.

he could have done better, but he has been fantastic for a while now. It's teh clowns like kuty, voronin, Sissoko, riise and hyypia to be blame for this season crisis. Out played at home by Marsielle, Spurs and now Arsenal. I do fear for rafa, the yanks aren't going to let the manager take the piss and play this awful football.

Jesus. In a thread about Reina you still manage to turn things round and have a pop at Rafa.

I was hoping he'd come out and "make himself big" in front of Fabregas as there was a little time before he latched onto the ball.

I don't think you can actually go as far as to blame him though. When you allow an opposition player to get into those sort of positions, you have to expect that they'll punish you. If they don't, you've gotten lucky.

to be honest, i was sitting lower annie road, behind the goal and when it went i was shocked, it looked like reina just switched off for a split second - i think a few players shouted for offside and reina just took his eye of the ball and fabregas slotted it past him.

Personal insults are unhelpful and unnecessary.
