I think you have got it virtually spot on................. we need to see the youngsters get some game time esp as Lucas could play a good few games while Alonso and Masher are out
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Given our injury list we'd have to be nuts to risk the big names.

      Itandje

      Finnan
      Hobbs
      Arbeloa
      Insua

      Yossi
      Momo
      Lucas
      Leto

      Babel
      Crouch

Whichever team we put out we should be able to beat Cardiff easily. Hope GOD knocks one in for them as a consolation goal.

Not sure about Finnan starting. He`s been run ragged recently for a number of reasons and looks like he could do with sitting this one out. Arbeloa RB and Insua LB maybe...

            Or Aurelio LB if fit

Finnan has looked knackered the last few games, not his usual solid dependable self, so give him a rest.

Given our injury list at the moment, would we be better to use mainly the reserves, so we have less chance of losing any more players to injury ? Also given we have a tough match against blackburn this week ??

                Players out at the moment

                Alonso
                Pennant
                Torres
Kewell (I guess it is habit to list him not sure about return date to first team ?)
                Aurelio
                Agger

Did I leave any off ?

Yep fair enough call. Maybe Darby at RB then. I bet Rafa surprises us and plays a team even weaker than that.

Listen to Rafa talkin about the Cardiff game here:

haven`t listened to it myself tho.

I reckon Kewell is gonna start, seeing as he played well for the reserves the other day.
