Chelsea would always buy him on my fm07 for 55 million it was awesome.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest this season until the Arsenal game I havn't been impressed with Mascherano. He obviously has vast potential but this season his passing under pressure has been poor and he hasn't got the Didi trick of turning pressure into freekicks.

I have defended Momo a lot and I don't think he is as bad as people make out. However he has failed to improve (or even regain his best form) this season and is not ideally suited to our pattern of play unless he improves his passing significantly. I would probably let him go now that he has seemigly declared his desire to leave - but I feel he really had the potential to add something to our team and it is sad to see him leave without fulfilling it.

I hope we get to see Spearing in the cup. It would be interesting to see how he gets on in a competetive adult environment.

So all we have to do is to get Roman playing fm07 and we will be loaded.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Alonso is the key. Masher and Gerrard play better when he plays. Therefore the team plays well. See the Arse game for proof. When Xabi was playing I was totally confident we would win. When he went off???
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I certainly agree that Alonso is the key for us in central midfield. However for Argentina Mascherano seems to be much more competant at getting the ball out of deep areas, I'm sure part of it is about the positions those around him adopt but last season he was much more assured. Possibly teams have started targetting him more but he needs to improve that aspect of his game if he is to be worth the £18m or whatever it is we have to pay to retain him long term.

I'll be somewhat sorry to see Momo leave, too - not least of all because he's my youngest son's favourite player.

For a guy blessed with so much athletic ability, he just does't seem to possess the skills to match it. Good luck to him if he does leave - but I'm not sure how mcuh the Italian league will suit him.

To be honest what infuriates me is that just after his return from his eye injury he showed that when he kept his passing simple he could do a good job of retaining posession. That allied to his athletic prowess would have made him a hugely valuable asset IMO but of late he seems far to rushed in his passing and makes what seem to be very nervous decisions.

He will probably leave in January.

Rafa has not said anything about Sissoko's statement since he said that he want to join Juve but he has not played him since then.

We have only had two games since then though and he was apparently sick for the Arsenal game (which Rafa mentioned after the game). I'm pretty sure there were quotes from Rafa the day after saying the usual placatory things managers do after the Sissoko to Juve stories anyway (although I admit that means little).

I think he will definitely go either in January or the summer but a lot will depend on others form and injuries about which it is IMO.

I agree with your post, although i have defended Momo and agree that mash hasnt reached last seasons heights its fair to say that Masher is a lot more of a complete player than Momo and if we have lucas and spearing coming through only one of masher and momo will stay and it appears only one of them wants to stay anyway!!

If we get a decent offer in January for him I think he will be off.

We currently have one CM too many and Sissoko is the weakest of that group.

I had high hopes that he would improve over the last couple of years but if anything he has gone backwards and his poor passing and technique have blighted many of our performances.
A humble guy with healthy desire.
