Sissoko will never be nearly as good as Vieira because he's found wanting in an area of the game that can not improve at his age: technique.
Now while I'm not expecting him to be dribbling past defenders, it is the simple things which frustrate me about him. His passing and ball control are horrible and even when he does manage to do something positive once in a while, it never cancels out the amount of times he loses possession. If they ever kept track of this stat, he'd be topping the league table every week.
Loss of possession=> opposition attacks=> goals conceded=> bad results
There is no one else who fits the bill in our squad as surplus to requirements more than Sissoko. Lucas is better, Mascherano is better, what's the point of playing Sissoko in our line up other than giving the former two a rest?
Great signing, did its job when called upon, will be sold for a profit, but time to move on.
Very very harsh. I bet you were praising him in his first season.
Juventus, Inter Milan move for Liverpool's Sissoko
tribalfootball.com - November 01, 2007
Juventus remain interested in Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko.
Sissoko admitted regret over rejecting a move to Juventus in the summer and the Italian club are convinced he can be tempted in January after only ten appearances so far this season, says Controcampo.
Inter Milan are also keen on Sissoko as a replacement for injury-plagued Patrick Vieira.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
