I posted that about 5 minutes after full time. We were ****! Instinctive reaction
No worries, wasn't having a pop anyhow. Just interested to hear people's views.
It seemed clear from the first 5 mins that Carra was struggling for fitness in my view. Can't really blame them for taking a gamble but I don't think it paid off, and Agger may have been the better option given the fitness situation, and given that he's been playing well anyhow. Maybe a gamble that didn't need to be taken. Then again, it is Carra, so can't really point any fingers there.
Gerrard on the right I just don't get. I understand its hard when you have Gerrard, Momo and Alonso to pick from, but I really think Xabi is making this an easy pick. He seems so off the pace at the moment that its almost as if he needs to be taken out the team, and given a preseason, and brought back around November.
The central midfield for me has to be Steven Gerrard and A.N. Other and at the moment that A.N.Other is Momo.
We bought a right winger. He didn't have international duty so he was fresh. So lets use him and lets put our engine back in the engine room. I thought Stevie did ok today but the game was taking place elsewhere. Extremely frustrating, because when he came into the centre he looked far more threatening.
Moyes must have been well pleased with how we deployed our most talented player.
Fabio is far from convincing me I have to say, and when Riise isn't playing, either at left back or left mid, he underlines just how undervalued he is.
I liked the look of Kuyt. He will certainly cope with the rigours of the English game so its now simply down to how much talent he has. He has a touch of the Erik Meijer's about him in terms of mentality don't you think?
Reina is not as good a keeper as people say in my view. I've been saying this for a while. He's an outstanding sweeper. He cuts out a lot of danger before it happens and that can be worth an outstanding save or two and shouldn't be taken lightly, but I do think that when it comes to goalkeeping itself he is found wanting more often than he should be in my view.
I've not taken this defeat that hard really, largely because I expected us to get beat for a whole host of reasons. I'm irritated that three sloppy errors made it look like the rout it wasn't, and I'm frustrated that our best player is played out of position.
Just cos he is so good that you can get a good game out of him from any place on the park doesn't justify not making the very most from him.
indeed,
have to say they took their chances very well, although all 3 goals came from our errors, we had 2 players fouled in the build up to the first 2 goals, hit the post twice, had 2 bang on pens not given and hit 2 great shots from distance which if were 6inches the other way were bang in. On another day we walk away 6-0!!!

"After a busy and frustrating Christmas period, Everton approached the New Year determined to turn things around and get some Premiership points on the board.
A subsequent run of eight league games unbeaten, including seven victories, transformed the season and even had Evertonians discussing the possibility of European qualification.
Relive the splendid return to form with highlights from three of the best games from this period. Tim Cahill's talisman performance against Charlton, the return home of Alan Stubbs against the mighty Arsenal and am unexpected debut for teenage goalkeeper John Ruddy in a brave and fighting performance from the toffee men against Blackburn Rovers.
