    That was the worst I've ever seen Xabi play.


    He's a class act though. He'll be back.


    (And even at his worst he's still a clear mile better than Arteta. )

        Xabi's poor form has just highlighted how important he has become to us. Whilst Gerrard can drive the team forwards it is Xabi that seemlessly brings the Defence ,Midfield and Attack together as a unit. When he's not playing well we seem disjointed and more a collection of individuals. Of course when some of those individuals go on to make mistakes things get worse.

          I think Xabi needs to rested, and not even travel to Eindhoven. The problem is that it would be good to give Gerrard a rest as well.
          So if there is any point of having Zenden in the squad is has to be to use in times like these. I know a lot don`t rate him, but IMO he`s better than Xabi ATM.

            He's not the only one not firing on all cylinders

            Not sure whether a rest is what he needs only Rafa can make that call, but I'm confident he'll be back to his usual self sooner rather than later
