Hobbs is sound from what i have seen of him, It was a shame that he didn't get a game against Reading last month.

If he plays tonight and does well he'll certainly give Rafa something to think about.

But Rafa is such a cautious manager I doubt he'll get the nod against Blackburn even if he turns in a MOTM performance.

Rafa's basically said that Leto and Lucas are going to start.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Sami's distribution is getting worse though IMO and his wayward passing normally puts us straight back under pressure.

his distribution has always let him down in my opinion. he usually collects the ball then gestures that he doesn't know where to pass it and hoofs it optimistically upfield.

I can see what you are saying. I thought he did well when he first came in for Agger though but the more that as he has played the more he seems to be making errors in passing and defending. I feel this is an effect of tiredness at playing too many games when he is not capable of doing so at 100%.

The problem is though, that his distribution is no worse than Carra's and therein lies a lot of our problems. Two hoofing CBs equals no proper connection between defense and attack.

Hobbes should definitely play if we ever face Kerlon.

Not bothered about whether Hobbs plays or not, we seem to have a reluctance to promote any reserves these days, they just fade away into obscurity

Not many of the youngsters in the reserves make a successful career when they move on which is a good indicator. Welsh was highly rated by some but didn't pull any trees up once he moved to Hull. Potter looks to be doing ok at Wolves but was so out of his depth at Liverpool, I think he'll struggle if Wolves get promoted.
