I'm not informed sufficiently to give you a decent answer I'm afraid, but there seems to be a problem with the development of our youngsters. I refuse to believe that the talent is not there, we just don't seem to bring them through anymore. Who was the last one to get themselves a regular first team place? Gerrard?Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Postin your opinion have any of them been good enough???Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Why has it got to be about Arsenal Chelsea or SCUM? It's a point about Liverpool, like it or not we don't bring any youngsters through anymore and there seems to be a problem with the way they develop once they reach LFC. If you want to discuss that, great, if not then please take the other clubs business elsewhereOriginally posted by fred_plasticine View Posthave united or chelsea brought anyone through in the last past years? arsenal have promoted some but for most of them jury is still out ...

god is by no means what he was - still a class act. i think the opposite start him against god and he will definately learn a thing or two from him..Originally posted by Red Matt View Posti heard from someone today that rafa has said he will not start hobbs as he needs to gain confidence and he doesnt want to start him against god and knock his confidence.
god wont have much of the ball tonight but his itelligence and running might just be a bit of an eye opener for hobbs. plus no doubt god will be his hero in some form or another.
if i had a chance to play against my hero i would most definately be out to show them what i could do ................."Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

well in a way it has got to with them because they are the other english top clubs challenging for honours.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWhy has it got to be about Arsenal Chelsea or SCUM? look, i think only outstanding talents will make their way into the first team. others will be tried here and there and will be moved on if they're not good enough. the fowlers or gerrards in this game will always make it everywhere - others won't. i just think the standard has been raised in the last few years. i'd only worry about the state of our academy if other clubs brought youngsters through every season.
