I blame Rafa for the Torres injury, the Xabi one I think was a bit more unfortunate. Torres clearly wasn't 100% and there would have been no harm in playing Crouch against defenders he scored a hat-trick against last season.

He didn't need to play, he was rushed back because it was a game we needed a result from and Rafa doesn't want to play Crouch unless all our other strikers are injured or suspended.

Since we aren't privy to the medical reports regarding Torres, how can we judge if he was rushed back or not?

Same way we judge everything on here: we make it up to suit our own point of view

Working where I do now I get to find out some little titbits of info.

Alonso was never due to play, it would have been Sissoko but he was taken ill before the game (there was a rumour that this was due to nerves, but that wasn't confirmed). He was still ill last night and would have played instead of Gerrard if he was fit. Rafa thought about putting in Lucas (for Arsenal) but felt the game was too big for him, so played Alonso knowing it would be a BIG risk.

The Torres injury was a new one, that was just bad luck.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

My son Foster is a fan of soccer. He was a goaltender. His brother was a defenseman.
