He is or was a great player, but now has the ego to match. Not sure he's ever going to recover from his injuries over the last year.

We need to be investing in the likes of Henry, Messi Ronaldo etc when they're early 20s not nearly 30 and possibly past their peak. That means spending top dollar or sorting out the youth scouting system to spot them early.

Wenger, Barce, Real Milan all do it, why don't we?

In short - no way should we go for him. We'd have to outbid everyone else in fee and wages
Sorry mate ut I couldn't give 2 ****s about re-sale vale and as we aren't a selling club, neither should you.
There isn't a top re-sale league is there? If there was we'd be in the Diadora league.
Henry could be the difference between us challenging for the league and us fading into 4 place oblivion. That alone is worth 15 million quid even if he only plays half a season.

ok but made £20m on him and he was being a sulky pain in the arse, but the sentiment is true. Wenger and Ferguson rarely let a player go too early.

Overmars, Vieira, Petit - all sold for good money - never regained former glories.

Not seen Pires or Ljungberg pulling up many trees either.

I agree they get it right more often than not, but not more often than we do too.

Thing is though, you can't says it's true in EVERY case and this could be one of those rare ones.

An in form Henry is the best striker in the world.

If we can get two good seasons out of him it would be well worth a £15M investment.

I can understand that they sold him for £24m the way his brothers acted back then.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Henry is also very injury prone. You would need to rotate him and maybe only play him two games out of three. I can't see him being happy on the bench 20 games/season.

                      Henry isn't that injury prone.

He had a bad time with injuriess in his last season with Arsenal but I don't remember him missing big chunks of the season in the same manner previously.

                      He's certainly no Michael Owen.

He didn't have the same playing style as Henry

The problem is that very quick players get sprinter injuries, hamstring and thigh problems because they stop, start their runs very often, just like sprinters and that means that you must rest them more often.

There were very credible rumours last year that IF Arse would sell him to us, that a deal was already in place
