Tell you what then, mate. Go and get a life outside of est1892 and Liverpool football club. Go and get a girlfriend, take her out on a few dates. Go down the boozer with your mates, get pissed up and have a laugh.

Mouinho and Dalglish had the titles bought for them by their respective owners, I also think Wenger took a little longer than a couple of seasons

The rest do not apply as they have never managed in England and merely moved around the top european clubs
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

And that's what it all comes down to, expectations.

Did we expect SG to be crap for 5 games due to injury?
Did we expect to lose Carra?
          Alonso?
          Agger?
          Torres?
Did we expect not to have Kewell?

No. Should our expectations not reflect reality?

Like all problems, you can only begin to solve them by actually acknowledging them.

Focus on positives by all means, but just nudging the problems to one side and ignoring them is a bit of a strange thing to do IMO.

TBH, the 'positive only' approach is no more balanced than what you lot perceive my viewpoints to be.

Of course focusing on the bad is gonna make us go backwards. If/when something goes wrong, do you think harping on about it is gonna make it right? Of course not.

Working on the positves eradicates the failings doesnt it so there fore you dont need to go on about how **** things are. Expand on whats good and it helps. Try it. Rafa will focus on what we did right today. At times we played some decent one touch footy, focus on that so it becomes more of the norm and we'd have less to moan about.

Its not about igonring things, its about working at being good. If youve picked holes in everything before a ball is kicked then youre never gonna be happy are you?

I'd say we've had two excellent performances - Chelsea & Derby - and two decent ones - Villa and Sunderland.

Pretty much everything else has been rubbish and much of that with Torres, Agger & Alonso in the side.

Having said all that, we were below par and with those three back in the side and our other top players back in some sort of form, we can fly again. We can go on a run of 8, 9 or 10 wins on the trot. Done it before, so why not again.

But we've got to improve tenfold to do it again.
Mate, if you analyze why we are failing to play well, you will identify exactly those attributes that those three bring us.

              For example,

No Agger, all hoof ball. Hoof ball = loss of possession = less atacks = more pressure on defense = more likely to lose concentration = more likely to concede

Xabi and Torres should be more obvious, if not watch the Arsenal and Derby games again.

As far as I am concerned those 3+ Reina are the MOST important players in our team.

Negative followed by negative followed by negative posts.

Support the team, lad. We've been in bad runs before and guess what? We'll be in bad runs again. One thing that has to be consistent though is that you support the team.

I'm looking for the good but you always, even in winning, look for the bad.
I do support the team. That doesnt make me blind to the poor football we're playing though. You tell me mate, was today an example of good football? A good performance? Is 2 wins in 7 good enough?

If you answer 'no' to those questions, does that mean you're not supporting the team? Or are you just stating facts along the way?

I dont 'always look for the bad' at all. The previous 2 performances before today werent very good, but i never said a word. Never made a single criticism. Try and find one, i'll bet you any amount you care to mention that there werent any.

Seems to me though that WHATEVER happens, you'll call it good and question the support of anyone who dares criticise.

Question my support all you like, i dont feel the need to justify myself or my support. And i do hope i turn out to be terribly wrong.

But head in the sand or not, nobody of sound mind can sit there and seriously claim that we're looking remotely good enough at the moment.

There's been less good than there's been bad this season. And i'm sorry if you dont like me saying so, but it's the facts.

Either you're similar to coops and you post positively REGARDLESS of what happens and what you really think, or alternatively, perhaps your standards and expectations are lower.

But anyway, keep having a dig and a pop at me for being pissed off that we're playing poorly. I should really be executed for not being thrilled at our run of form, shouldnt i?

I think you need to be able to distinguish between seeing things for how they are, and 'not supporting the team'. I support the team, i do so passionately and it means the fecking world to me. That might just be why the current plight hurts so much. I wish i could laugh about it and poke fun at others like you do, but it doesnt come naturally to me.

Well aye, I realise that - but the point I was making was that even when those three were all fit, we still had quite a few problems.

Agger has been a huge loss. A lack of quality cover (sorry Sami) in that area has cost us dear.

Good point about the one touch footy. I might get slated for this but I actually thought that toays first half passing was as close to Rafa's Valencia team that I've seen. Short sharp quick passes and decent movement. The only thing we lacked was the final ball which, if we stick to the plan, will start to come.

The second half showed that we CAN mix it up a bit and be alot more direct.

Plenty of positives today if anyone looked for them.
