Would you really have thought we were going to be relegated?Originally posted by donpisci View PostThe way all you doom-merchants are talking, you'd have thought we were going to be.
That's not very intelligent though, is it?
And furthermore, is our objective suddenly to not be relegated?

Nobody said everything was perfect, you're right.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostWell, who said everything was perfect? This ridiculous exaggeration of other people's arguments is happening on all sides, it's dull.
Plenty of people are acting as if nothing's wrong though, which is clearly not true.

In all honesty, it's incredible to think we're only 6 points off the pace, given that we've failed to win more games than we've won.
It's a shame we dont have a game in hand on Arsenal mind, as there arent many teams who are gonna beat them. We'll have to be incredibly consistent to stay close to them by the time they've dropped 6 points.

I think it's also fair to say that it's not very intelligent to be too literal about that aspect of the post, whilst completely ignoring the rest of it (the main, factual part).Originally posted by DJS View PostWould you really have thought we were going to be relegated?

Added to that, you're being pedantic about my post which shows that you're either not intelligent enough to come up with a decent argument or you know that what I'm saying is true and a bit of perspective is required.

Ok, so exaggerations and pedantics aside, we all agree that winning twice in seven games is extremely poor, and with all the perspective in the world, such a run is unacceptable, if we genuinely want to be title challengers.Added to that, you're being pedantic about my post which shows that you're either not intelligent enough to come up with a decent argument or you know that what I'm saying is true and a bit of perspective is required.

No it's not good enough, but you have to agree that there are signs of improvement (however slight!) and being only 6 points off the top at this stage of the season is a reason for hope, before even taking into account that we are due to hit a 'purple patch'.Originally posted by DJS View Post

Form is temporary, after all.

We dont KNOW that for a fact though fredo, this is the point you're missing.Originally posted by fredo View Post... but we'll improve and the season has barely started.

Simply taking for granted that it'll all be ok is a bit misguided.
We all thought we'd batter birmingham too. And Spurs.
It needs to actually start to happen. Sure it's early days (i suspect we'll be saying that in 15 more games time too, mind) but with every dropped point, we're adding to what's already a big mountain to climb. Surely you dont fail to see that?

A good chunk I think you'll agree.
This is what i mean, i cant help but think we'll be saying the same with 20 odd games played...

I won't lose any sleep if we fail to win the league this season and I'll still be cheering if Rafa is in charge next season. That's the difference between me and you.Originally posted by DJS View PostWe dont KNOW that for a fact though fredo, this is the point you're missing.

Shanks one liner about football being 'more important than life and death' was made tongue in cheek mate. Don't believe in that.
