Having the more adventurous Arbeloa at right-back instead of the more ponderous and slightly pedestrian Finnan made a huge difference to us going forward. Against the weaker sides, this looks the way to go - with Finnan coming in against better opposition and AA moving to left back.

        IMO, anyway.

That was ****ing great fun - the perfect antidote the recent below-par muck.

        Keep it up Redmen!

Remember in 2006 when we beat Birmingham 7-0 after the 5-1 thrashing of Fulham.

Tonight we win 8-0 and Fulham comes next. I recommend you bring one of these Lawrie..

Yossi can be hit and miss but I love him, and his goal threat really exposes Pennant's lack of goal threat from the same position. He simply never gets into the positions Yossi does.

I hope he gets a good run in the side now.

Hope Rafa keeps the same 11 on Saturday.

We're heading into the International break anyway.

                  PLEASE RAFA, NOT ****IN KUYT.

                    8-0

Well said, I'm getting sick of the unnecessary slagging off Kuyt is getting when the poor ******* didn't even play tonight.

I'd make two changes - Torres for Voronin and Kewell for Riise.

He's got 5 goals in what, 20 games?

                        Pennant has one in 70.

                        Embarrassing.

Are you advocating we play Reina up front as a lone striker and two goalkeepers?

Arbeloa made some great maurading runs up the right.

He certainly looked very lively going forward although he did get caught out a couple of times at the back, but as you said he can be useful bombing on from RB against lesser sides where we'll have a lot of posession.

Yeah you are right mate. Riise was pretty poor really tonight. Well perhaps not poor, just average.
