I think to have any chance the gap can't be more than 6 points. Even at 6 points we'd have it all to do. Lets face it there's nothing to suggest that we'd close that gap, even at 6 points. In theory with Rafa's rotation you'd hope our players would be fresher come the New Year but it might not mea we'd close the gap. i mean utd hardly hit the ropes in the league last season

They got injuries toward the end of the season and still somehow got the results and got other results going for them. They seemed tired towards the end but as much as I hate to say this the experience of Fergie helped them, not to say Rafa doesn't have championship experience but if players are going to be injured come the end of the season, do the players, if they are top of the league, have the composure to stay there unlike Liverpool teams of the last 18 years?

how about we just get 3 on saturday. we've already drawn far too many games so far this season. for what its worth imo 10 points is 4 too many.

I think 6 - 8 points would be asking too much for other teams to slip up.

3 points is only a one game swing so we would be well in the hunt at that point.

FFS, i'm not the most optimistic person on here, but even I know that 4, 5 or 6 points, with 4 months left to play, is nothing!

I'd bite your hand off if someone offered me a 3 point defecit at the turn of the year!

I think so too. We'll tear Sanchez's team a new one this Sat.

do we realistically need to be within 6/7 points after christmas to have a realistic title shot?

Dont forget, we still have to go AWAY to all 3 of Arsenal, United and Chelsea.

Even 8 points might be too much to make up by then, if we still have those 3 away games to come.
                                the sad truth

really ****ed up with the home form this year, had we turned 2 or 3 of those draws into wins then things would look much brighter
