so on saturday he had this game in mind and now that this game is here he has sunday in mind, what happened to taking each game as it comes?

we can't constantly chop and change the team and expect to have consistent performances.

Rafa had that team in mind before the Everton game, win or lose.

The international fixtures had messed all that mate. Rafa would have taken each game as it comes if he had the time to rest players.

in an ideal world that is what we would do. it's no mistake that our best run last season came when the team was settled. all this tinkering like we had the season before will be very bad for us in the long run.

And obviously Stevie played both England games plus the derby ... makes sense to rest him for this one. Xabi isn't playing well anyway, so would have been either Stevie of Xabi in central midfield in place of Bolo.

exactly, look at Chelsea for example they hardly ever make lots of changes from match to match and they have one big squad full of world class players! This rotation will hurt us again tonight imo!

We've started this season badly partly because we had a lot of players in the world cup and partly because we had a lot of new ones. The team will be settled when Rafa has time to constantly pick his best team without disruption in terms of international matches etc ... That's why he stated that we wouldn't be seeing the best of this team before November.

i was confident that we'd win this but now i think we'll be lucky to get out of there with a draw. sad as that may sound it's the way i feel because that team lacks a bit of experience in a game like this.

We'll see what Chelsea does during the course of the season when Sourihno has to keep his superstars happy. Don't forget that bar the first few months last season we were the better team in terms of consistency. We just have to stick in there and not lose too many points on the teams flying above us in the league right now. Squad wise, i think that we have the best one quality wise throughout the whole league including Chelsea. Manure doesn't have our strenght in depth and they rely heavily on Giggs and Rooney being on form.

fair enough i hope he proves me wrong with this one, as he has before, but all the changes are to much imho. 6 from one game to the other is far much.

the key to winning away games in europe is to keep the ball well and take your chances, i feel with the midfield we put out we will struggle to keep the ball

We'll see, let's remain positive as we still have a decent team out there which played very well in the Charity shield.

Don't be a pessimist mate ... Rafa knows what he's doing. We have far too much quality to **** up this season IMO.
