He has 18 months left on his contract and he won't be getting a new one. We have to sell him in January or we will face the prospect of only getting 3-4 million for him in the summer.

I was intending to mean in the context of a return to the best he can do as opposed to suddenly becoming the new Maldini. I think he has flaws but is a good PL player when on form, which he is returning to.Originally posted by tomasjj View PostThis is one of the main flaws in his game.
Sorry, I am not with you on this one.
Maybe I am biased since I don't rate him at all, but so be it.
Stamina, yes.
Never injured, yes.
Shoots like a horse, yes. Rarely hits the target though.
Works all day, yes.
Long throw ins, yes.
That is about it though.
For the sake of JAR I will not go into his weaknesses.
Squad player, yes, but too limited a footballer."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I'm not arsed whether we sell him or not -I just don't ever want him appearing in a first choice Liverpool XI ever again.
Part of the reason our strikers struggle to score as many as they should is because he shoots all the time or runs it out of play, you can probably count the number of decent crosses in his whole Liverpool career on 2 hands and maybe 1 footThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Some of the so-called better left backs that are being mentioned as his replacement aren't even close to being as good. We're lucky to have Riise in my opinion. There are weaker players/areas of the team that need to start worrying about Riise.

It seems pretty obvious he won't be getting a new contract.
It would be bad business not to sell him in Jan as it would hit the potential profit we could make on him.
Will Riise be the first of the banner trio to go?
Momo can follow but I'd prefer if Crouchie stayed.A humble guy with healthy desire.

Ginge is going nowhere.
He'll sign a new contract before the summer and you heard it here first."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse.
