    German League

Premiership teams have faired well acquiring players from the Bunders league. premierships purchase of south american players have faired less well, unless of course they've played in the bundersleague. Surely with that it mind we should seek to see what amongst our youngsters could we send out on loan to the bundersleague?

Isn't the main reason for that the fact that you have more time on the ball in the Bundersleague?

The Bundesliga is just as fast, frantic and physical as the Prem. Personally, I prefer it to the Italian and Spanish La Liga(to some extent).
There's many good players there who can do the job in The Prem and for Liverpool in particular.
For example, Ribery who is doing very well for Bayern, then there's Van Der Vaart whos been fantastic for Hamburg since joining them. Magnin the Swiss LB is another one who has impressed me. Kompany & Van Buyten are excellent as well.
In addition, the German young talent is blosoming. Players like Jansen, Schlaudraff(both Bayern M), Gomez(Stuttgart), Neur(Schalke & future Germany #1).
Not forgetting established players like Schwarnstieger, Mertersacker, Klose, Podolski.
Finally, did ya know the the Bundesliga has the highest average of attendance in Europe with 39,957, while the Prem has an average of 34,463 and Spain a poor 28,838.

The ticket prices in Germany are dirt cheap. Which is why Dortmund has highest average attendance over a season of any club in Europe.

But there is an ENORMOUS amount of space given in midfield in the Bundesliga, and it looks really strange to me when I watch their games.

Not to forget the raw 18 year old talent of Marco Marin for Mönchengladbach, when he has a good day. Like he did in the Köln derby.

Most Bundesliga sides will bring it out from the full backs and use the width of the pitch.

I don't rate the Bundesliga. Just look at how German clubs have been struggling in European competitions.

i reckon that's rather down to money than anything else. german top clubs, apart from the effing bayern, cannot afford to buy good enough players to really compete with the likes of us.

compared to the prem there is much more space, especially defensively there's a lot left to be desired. the reason why players from that league find it easier to ajust is because it's just a phyisical.

I think there is something in both views but basically I would agree that the Bundesliga does appear to be the closest model to the PL in terms of if a player can succeed there he is likely to have the attributes to succeed here. However that doesn't mean that the level of team is that high.

I also think people are unnecessarily critical of the Italian league at the minute - this year a lot of teams seem more attacking and many of the matches are very entertaining. The flipside of that is that Italian defending is no longer as fearsome as it once was.

Would be an excellent replacement for Crouch.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                              You forgot Diego.

Ribery has been excellent this season. If he had played for a bigger club than Bayern then he would be a hot candidate to win the golden ball.
