Sure, there are more pressing matters but the role of a manager is to plan ahead also. To think how what could be done to step a march on our rivals. It's already difficult when we've been 20 points behind last season and seeing manure splashing £ 70m pounds on attacking talent without any outgoing sales. It's all about competition.

I just want him to focus on the matches ahead and not get sidetracked by publically having a pop at the owners.
We could do without it.
Some big games coming up. **** that transfer window right off. Don't care, really really don't care.
Not good.
But what lead to it?--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

If we didn't sign anyone in January would it be such a massive disaster?Originally posted by Pacman View PostBut we aren't paid to think of the clubs future Rafa is.
It should be his job to ensure he's got everything covered. At the end of the day if the team doesn't perform it's his neck on the line.
We've got a big squad haven't we?I hate Polanski

But if we can make that squad even stronger then it's surely a good thing?**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

This translates as: he needs to focus on training and coaching his team. Haven't I heard this mantra somewhere before? Is CharlieManson actually Rafa???Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostNo it's not.
He's had a lot of money to spend. This is his team now. Knuckle down, concentrate and get results with it.

Wenger's team have been in the making for 5 years and he's snapped all the best young talent for a lot of money. FFS, paying £ 10m pounds on Theo Walcott when the lad was a 16 year old wasn't a lot of money for you ? It was a huge risk, and Wenger's done that a lot. He's nit picked the best young players and he's built a team around.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostNo it's not.
Who's top of the league at the moment?
Yes, that's right a team who's spent less than us since Rafa arrived.

Rafa's trying to model his system but he's been in charge for 3 years.
I can understand Hicks and Gillett being tight on the purse strings but why oh why spend £ 400m ****ing pounds on a stadium and putting the club under huge debts if we can't ****ing compete on the transfer market for the short term ?

So after winning the Premier League last season, Yernited, who had a big squad, just sat back and said - we've got a big squad and we've just won the league, no need to buy anyone new, let's knuckle down and just do it again............er........Originally posted by tomasjj View Post
Yup.
We don't need to do anything, apart from selling Carson....

The best way for Rafa to respond to the yanks is to qualify for the CL ,climb up the premiership table and beat united at anfield. His stock will soar if he manages this. The yanks are not stupid. Rafa will get his transfer funds if he does these things. Thats what I read from the yank statement anyway.Dare we believe

Yep, and wasn't it you who was calling for Voronin & Kuyt's head and shipping them out ? Come mate, it's time to be consistent in what you say.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostIf we didn't sign anyone in January would it be such a massive disaster?

If Rafa thinks there is **** all communications with the americans, he obviously will try to manipulate the media to gain what he wants. It's all part and parcel of the game. It's not ideal and it's fecking detrimental to our club but we have to give our manager some support. We're not politicians and we don't give a **** to what's happening in the upper echelons of the boardroom. We're only interested in football and seeing our team going forward and the americans should devise a strategy to back that up, short term and long term.
