If Rafa walks then it shows that they don't know a thing about football and all they are interested in is money, nothing else.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Disgraceful behaviour from Hicks. You don't do this sort of thing in public and in the press. The Americans obviously know **** all about the British press and football in general. How to alienate your manager and fans in one paragraph. I know who I'll be supporting now if it comes to a show of support.
“We told him to concentrate on the games coming up and nothing else and I guess he didn’t like that."
No **** Sherlock!

We will get better sponsorship deals, fill the new stadium week in week out, get a better deal when we sell the naming rights for the new stadium, if we for example are PL champions compared to if we are fighting to qualify for the CL.Originally posted by Morph View Postdude don't know if it's because i'm not well but can't understand what you're trying to say

you cant spend money for the sake of spending money - just look at leeds - wht a disaster there.Originally posted by Skullflower View Posti agree with this thread, it may be obscene money, but everyone else is spending it.
on the flip side bean counters cannot run businesses because they dont have long term vision. there has to be a happy medium and I think this is where Rick Parry should intervene.
I dont want to talk about RP but he has got to show some leadership somewhere down the line.
But Rafa has to be told what the direction is for transfers etc because if you dont know where you're going how the hell are you going to get there. i also agree that the CL money is important however, they should at the very least be able to tell benitez what the worst case scenario is in relation to his transfer budget.

we dont wash our dirty laundry in public and these 2 have been spoting to the media at every chance.like to see gillette try and come onto the kop like he said he would if they get rid of rafaParry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

The reporter seems to be siding with hicks and gilette, which i find really stupid, you can't decided on your transfer targets 2 weeks before the window opens, even if it does depend on CL qualification, they can still set out a budget with and without it, and then give the team the impetus to qualify for the later stagesThomas Hicks Senior

To you and paulc, Gillett has gone on record several times saying that the budget was player specific, they have always refused to give a #.Originally posted by DJS View PostI dont believe it's a player specific budget. It's relative to the turnover for this year, which will be drastically reduced if we go out of the CL.
BTW We don't get this years CL revenue till next year. So going out should make no difference to this years budget.
TBH with the credit crunch, stadium funding etc, It would be difficult to give and stick to a # but for good sake keep the information flow between managers going so that they can make the best decision given current constraints. The Crushing Machine MKII
