This entire episode makes me cringe. Even Madrid at the height of the Galactico era did not talk to the media to communicate with the manager. If Rafa leaves, can you imagine any top manager coming here with an owner who shoots his mouth of at the first available opportunity.

Rafa was wrong in using the media. But where have the owners management skills gone. Atleast Rafa is a football person. Even if he makes a mistake he is the most valuable person at Liverpool. Talk to him, try to defuse the situation.
This has shades of Freddy Shepherd going to the media and stating "Bobby Robson may leave at the end of the season".

Thats exactly the feeling I got. I tried to convince myself that it was my active paranoid imagination but it is not and your right.
