PARRY RUBBISHES HICKS REPORT
Jimmy Rice 30 November 2007
Chief executive Rick Parry today laughed off newspaper speculation about the ownership of Liverpool Football Club.
A report this morning claimed co-owner Tom Hicks was looking to sell his shares.
But Parry said: "I have seen the story, and as far as I am aware it is complete rubbish."
funny thing is, it seems he didn't even check with Hicks before rushing out to defend him
"As far as I am aware...." so, you weren't sure? Or didn't you check first?
Silent Rick...

3. He said they are determined to sack Rafa and will do it soon, failing that at the end of the season as they simply don't like him or his antics. (this obviously isn't taking into account the fans fury).
thanks for posting that...but just to clear up: is it BOTH the owners that want Rafa out? It seems more like Hicks is the one behind this, especially if they don't get along? and why are they buying clubs together if they don't get along?
The reason, the directors are Parry, Moores and G&H sons. That means that Foster would probably be the only possible one who could have leaked the info and I doubt very much that he would do that.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
From Elisha Scott on ynwa: As far sources go, he is much pretty much spot on.
Another massive mis-communication down to Parry. The fella is not competent enough to be running the club.
He commands no respect amongst the fans, imagine what people from other clubs think when they deal with him.
He has nearly cost us the manager and captain now.

is this the first ES has talked on the issue or has he said something else?

Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Well, he should have been sacked a long time ago. Friendship is one thing but Moores should have sacked him after the Gerrard saga.

Or he could be a bloody good accountant and less good at the more public/obvious duties he has to perform and on balance the money men would rather have someone of his specialist knowledge on board?
People are very quick to condemn people on here on the basis of hearsay and yet criticise the papers for publishing crap.

Could be very true, so may be they need to redefine his role and responsibilities? He doesn't appear to be the best negotiator around given how we've consistently been anally raped in the transfer market over the years (although this situation seems to have improved under Rafa). We know his pondering cost us Vidic and nearly cost us Gerrard.
