Theres no such thing as loyalty in football anymore. Sadly, that went away with the arrival of $ky and all it brought.

Not saying Rafas not a great manager, just that Mourinho is the best around.

Talking through your arse mate. Go and support whoever Mourinho picks up next if you have no loyalty.
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

There is such a thing as loyalty in football, but that isn't the concern here. It's not about being loyal for wanting to keep Rafa, it's the fact that he's an absolutely amazing manager, IMO the best there is, miles better than Mourinho comparing the money/players they had when they both came to the PL.

Not saying I agree with his opinion about Mourinho, but calling him a disloyal is out of order IMO.

He supports Liverpool FC. Regardless of who the manager is.

I'd like Rafa to stay, but there's little we can do but get behind the team for this next crucial period, starting Wednesday.

He's just said there is no loyalty in football. I've just quoted/paraphrased him!!

He's also saying that he'd happily dump our current manager for an idiot that has constantly slagged this club off. How can this be loyalty?

He wants Liverpool to win, and by sacking Rafa for Mourinho he feels that would help.

I don't agree with that opinion, but I understand where he's coming from.

Mourinho is a top manager just as Rafa is. As a bloke Mourinho leaves much to be desired but as a manager he's as good as there is in my view. His record at Porto was top class whilst at Chelsea he did what you'd expect a good manager to do with that cash, dominated the domestic scene.

I hope Rafa stays but fear by next season he'll be gone. It'll be very sad if he does go but like it or not, LFC will go on and if Mourinho does come in what can you do but support the club. Its not as if I can suddenly stop wanting them to win is it.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree then becuase I can see no rationale whatsoever for sacking our current manager and bringing that preening ponce in.

So I must be mad going by his Merseycider's original post.

I've only two points to make:

                    1) I wouldn't want Mourinho as our manager;

                    2) I firmly believe Rafa will still be in charge in a few years time.

Whilst I'd like to see Rafa in charge for as long as he likes, the reality will I fear be different. I just think the differences between him & G&H is too deep and one will go and thats Rafa.

As for Mourinho on purely footballing terms he'd be a top replacement but its impossible to seperate that from the person underneath.

                        Agree with you completely.

I don’t want Rafa out, I don’t think he’s done anything to warrant that, but there is a possibility, this is football after all, he could be if GG & TH think he’s overstepped the mark.

I do hope that it’s been blown out of all proportion by the media and normal service resumes very soon (hopefully following a comfortable win over Porto on Wednesday).

However if the worst was to happen and Rafa goes and the man to replace him is the man who I loathed at Chel$ki then I will back him, I have to as he will be the manager of my team, our team, Liverpool FC and that is bigger than any chairman, player or manager. Simple as that!!!!

But we don’t have to worry about that happening as it’s not going to, is it?

                          No neither do I.

But it's all about opinions isn't it?

Just because merseycider thinks sacking Rafa and bringing in Mourinho would be a good thing, it doesn't make him disloyal, to Rafa perhaps, but then we all support LFC not Rafa FC.

I just cannot understand certain people who say they'd stop caring/supporting if Rafa is replaced by Mourinho. Now that is being disloyal.

OK our points are converging now because I support LFC and with that whoever manages LFC right now. That is Rafa. If he gets the sack then I will be upset but I will get over it and give equal support to the next manager.

Bottom line whoever is current LFC manager gets my support and that is what I call loyalty.
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

Well, I don't think G&H will own our club in a few years time if they sack Rafa. Both of them will be the two most hated men in the history of the club.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

How much they will be hated won't matter to them. They are 6000 miles away and won't be over concerned about us being brassed off voer here will they.

Also if the new manager turns out to be good and wins us the league, they'll be hailed as heroes. Look at Chelsea, now Grants won some games its Jose who
