I don't think it's a breakdown in communication - ultimately Rafa and the Americans have different interests.
Rafa's interest is in his ability to do his job correctly for the benefit of Liverpool Football Club and its supporters.

What are their interests, because if they differ then we need to **** them off pronto!

Or maybe, its only been our transfers in the past that have been so protracted, and with the Yanks in charge, they won't mess about.

They've kicked the new stadium development forward, and in a generally good way, since they came in.

They delivered Torres. They delivered another large amount on 2 highly talented young players, Lucas and Babel. This could all just be such a storm in a teacup, easily sorted out between them and Rafa when they come over. Some silly things have been reported as having been said, but I'm more fussed about what's actually done.

          Mine angry and defrauded young?

He says he'll keep focused on the matches but he's only trying to get new players because it's the best for the club.
I said exactly the same in the Tom hicks thread. the yanks do need to understand the European Transfer market more. they dont now.
they also need to understand that Rafa is a perfectionist.
So I guess atleast Rafa understands why the Yanks don't understand, so that is atleast a start, maybe he can make allowances this last time.
Hopefully all parties will start understanding each other more.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

You do know that they won't pay for the stadium themselves?

We will be in huge debts because of the stadium. G&H said that they won't borrow any money with the club as safety but that is exactly what they will do.

Yes, they sorted out the stadium in an excellent way but I'm not happy that we will be in huge debts.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                    Come on?

Will you lose your house over it or something?

They have come in and tore up the mockery of a stadium that we had planned and went big time on a new design. Of course there will be debt but there was going to be debt no matter who came in.

They are the owners and entitled to say what they want.

Both sides need to temper their comments though as it simply isn't the 'Liverpool way' of doing things

I'm sure the Yanks fully understand the transfer market. However they won't commit any funds until the CL picture is clear.

The problem for LFC is we've got businessmen in charge now not an LFC fan. This means the balance sheet rather than the pursuit of trophies will be their God. The upside of the Yanks is that we will have a brilliant new stadium, the likes of which we could never get under Moores.

In the long run, with the revenues from the new stadium, you'd hope that getting the balance sheet flourishing should have the knock on effect to mean on-field stuff should also be very healthy.
