Back to the topic, the owners need to realise the importance of January signings under Rafa: Agger, Arbeloa, Mascherano - that's not looking for a makeshift signing, that is a significant addition to the squad signed early before a bidding war gets going.

It's anyone's guess how much more Agger and Arbeloa are worth; and if the deal for Mascherano now is £17m including wages, well to not take it would be ridiculous.

Why should we believe anything he says?

What have him and Gillett done other than hire a new team of architects. When I see actions instead of all the PR bull**** we've been fed I might start to believe them.

I actually think the owners are holding out to see if we qualify for CL before deciding on Rafa's fate. Hence the wait

How often have the People and NOTW made up bull about LFC and ther teams. I will trust H&G over them because they haven't been proven to make bull up (although I suspect they havent been 100% truethful).

If you take a big loan now then you would have to pay sky high interest rate.
Arsenal were in the same boat, spiralling stadium costs, an inability to meet the interest etc; then they sell the naming rights and within a year of moving into their new stadium are making more money than any other side in world football.

I don't think it is bull**** to be honest, rafa took a dig at the owners after the CL final, a dig at the owners before the season started, a dig at the owners this week and when they specically told him to shut the **** up and concentrate on coaching the team he took a dig AGAIN.

now i don't know how it works in your job but in every other walk in life if you constantly talk out about your employer you get sacked, imho they are just waiting for an excuse now.

Stand back and have look at the situation

The owners have spent a lot of money buying the business, they have pumped money into getting some better quality staff, and they have financially backed the move to a better location and made the planned move better than the original design. They have also let the floor manager get on with his job unhindered by their lack of product knowledge.

So far all is well, all they need is to be in the best markets for the best returns, and for that they need a dedicated quality floor manager to get those to those markets.

Close as that may be it is still not assured.

Sticking point is the manager is demanding more investment than they think is necessary at this time.

                      Who is right ?

The manager must be right because without the investment the returns will be harder to achieve.

The owners must be right because adding to the debt without the extra returns is not an good investment.

Of course the extra investment may bring the returns but contrarily the returns could be gained without extra investment

One cancels out the other, But he who pays the piper calls the tune.

Would these clever owners therefore sacrifice years of good work to make a point and then appoint a replacement in a field of expertise that they have no knowledge of, I think not, although the incumbent manager is a man of principle who may not back down if cornered.

The owners are extremely succesful business men who surely understand asset management better than most.

I trust they will get it right.

And he will stay to collect his Christmas bonus.

                        Feeling sick right now

Well, he was hardly going to come out and say - 'Well, actually, that story we printed in our paper today was rubbish. We just made it up. - Was he?

They have probably not paid a single pound themselves so far. They have or will take loans against the club.

The money for the transfers this summer probably was the money from the new TV deal and the money from the CL.

A lot of talk and very little action from them so far.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Interest rates go down when the economy doing it hard not up so money shouldnt be that difficult to access for those two especially Hicks. One of the main issues is how much of their own money those shysters are going to put in. It sounds like thye dont want to put in any at all much less a substantial amount. That was why the Goldman Sachs deal didint come off-alledgedly.

I hope Rafa get a huge demonstration of local support against Porto and that the fans in the stadium send those 2 ****s message. This is all very distateful and the other big clubs must be loving it. It feels like we are on th brink of something special on the pitch and then this happens.
