You're a great poster, not at all questioning your integrity, but it does seem very strange that Hicks and Gillette would want to bring in a manager who is similar to Rafa in the sense that he isnt a shrinking violet. Can anyone imagine Mourinho standing for the sort of interfering from the owners that Rafa has put up with - I mean thats the main reason he left Chelsea.
I hope to god that if thats the way things are looking then tonights support from the fans will change their minds.
me and my mate was discussing that, and he told me something that might be very plausible. Mourinho is constantly in the press, and therefor constantly drawing attention to the brand, he would probably be a better image to marked in the states for example. the thing that draws them to him might be the same thing we loath him for. this is sertainly not the liverpool way, but **** if they care...

Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Hugely unpopular as it may be, IF, and I really doubt it will happen but if, Rafa goes my replacements, in order would be - Capello, Mourinho.
We would have to make the best of a bad, nay, tragic, situation and appoint one of those.
But hes not going, I have a feeling tonights match/demo/fan support will be the talk of the whole ****ing sporting world tomorrow and for all the right reasons.
I love Liverpool Football Club and will always do so!!
To paraphrase: "I love Rafa but I've already started thinking about who I want to replace him."

. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
(I know you're Swedish - that was the joke element of my post)
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I keep hearing stories of Bacsambe backing up 'his' story about Rafa being sacked and Jose taking over....but he would, wouldn't he? He's hardly going to come out and admit that his story was a load of bollocks, is he?
I think that regardless of what happens this will be Rafa' last season and we'll have a new person in charge next year though, sadly.
Any chance of them Yankies coming clean some one these days and letting us all know what exactly is happening?

On this point DJS is talking sense. I don't want Maureen near the club but I know that people would love him if he won the league. LFC will continue after Rafa (I really hope this doesn't happen) and all the people saying they would walk away will get angry for a while and then within a month or 2 be offering their usual level of support.
I am shocked by the people saying they couldn't support the club etc as they are forgetting it is LFC they support not Rafa fc or G&H fc. Get behind the club.
I think it's virtually impossible to imagine Mourinho failing at anything, he's a born winner.
Apart from nailing the Champions League with millions to spend at Chelsea
