I hope to god that if thats the way things are looking then tonights support from the fans will change their minds.
    no.
    a) they're plain stupid
    b) they simply don't like him and what he does
    c) the press just reckons it will be that way but do know **** all

it's c) for me so far.

to be honest, I could imagine it. Jose is arrogant enough to believe he could win the fans round. And lets face it, if he brought us the Premiership he would.

He's the type of bloke you hate unless he's involved with your team, in which case you love him - as he showed at Chelsea.

Don't likke the sound of this at all.

There have been so many rumblings of Mourinho coming from different sources than it makes me wonder if there is some inkling of truth there somewhere.

Rafa is going nowhere - unless he is sacked. He has stated to the team that he will not leave

Thing is I could - when Ged departed and we were looking for his replacement I could see Jose at Liverpool and comments from his side suggested that that was exactly what he wanted too. A lot has happened since to make it unlikely but nothing would surprise me in football

If Rafa does go, and every hour that goes by makes it appear more likely, G&T are going to have to attract a "big name" to appease what will be furious fans and he is undoubtedly going to be in the frame, whether we like it or not

Seriously, I agree. I'd feel awful if Rafa was sacked but for Mourinho to take over would be a dagger through my heart

...it's been my username since i joined. I just dont post very often. My name's Ben so it seemed the obvious choice.

Surely the yanks cant be that stupid to think Maureen would be accepted in any way whatsoever.

Well, he would never come to us if G&H wouldn't support him big time in the transfer market but I still would hate him.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That doesnt mean he has any inside knowledge, as for Jose, he would be a bigger problem than Rafa ever was for them, also I'm sure they're aware that Jose is not exactly Mr.Popular with LFC fans

                        Hopefully he'd bring Lampard in.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I don't think Gillett or Hicks care about how popular the manager are as long as they will make a nice profit on their investment.

Don't think his popularity would have any bearing on the decision, they will already have made the most unpopular one possible by getting rid of Rafa

How they can think that they would be getting a "yes" man in Jose though (which seems to be what they are looking for) beggers belief
