Andy Gray was laughing through the game and gave the impression we didn't play well at all. Alvin Martin (on Talksport) on the other hand said we were excellent tonight and deserve great credit for getting the result under great pressure.

Torres and Harry were the difference, a great combo for the all important second goal. I can now really see the light after a very shoddy spell there for a while.

The Americans would want to have necks like a jockey's bollocks to think about sacking Rafa merely for drawing attention to their considerable shortcomings as new owners - namely talking up the money they would give him for transfers and sucking up all the fan enthusiasm, and then giving him **** all. They raised expectations themselves and now simply are not delivering. Unlike Rafa, who is. So sacking him would be a travesty even if he has his own shortcomings sometimes, but who's perfect, he's close enough.

Getting Agger back and match fit is absolutely vital, has he any hope of being back for the United game as I'd worry about Hyppia.

Ok just got in from the game, while i appreciate the love in for the result we were bloody awful for the middle portion of the game, after they scored we looked bloody nervous until half time.
Babel needs some confidence and 40000 screaming at him for not shooting on his left foot doesnt help him.
I was thinking up until the second that we were out tbh, big up to Harry as he changed the game, and of course Rafa for excellent subs for once.
Finnan was excellent along with Mascher (again) and obviously Torres.
The crowd was fairly subdued between 10 minutes and 75 but Rafa got the message, to any of the morons on here or on 606 who think Rafa should go when we are unbeaten in the league, quarters of the Carling, one win against a team 15thish in the French league away from 2nd round of the CL, i say what are you on?
