The real reason for the recent bust up?

According to a friend of a friend of mine (who knows a certain spanish reporter), the real reason behind recent events is that Rafa has felt undermined by the club owners and sees them as trying to have too much influence over not just which players to buy but also over team selection. Their main bone of contention is with the record signing of Torres. They're baffled as to why Rafa keeps dropping the player that they invested so much money in....and they don't want to spend any more until they are sure that the players that Rafa buys will play the majority of games. You won't see Torres dropped too often now before the end of the january transfer window..

That was exactly what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if I was forgetting some.

              Two games.

Portsmouth away and Brum at home.

Still, I agree with you. When Andy Gray said the other night, after Torres got the 2nd, "why does he keep resting him?", I felt like punching his fat head off.

              Two ****ing games.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I would say the real reason behind the recent bust-up is a combination of the Americans, as is their nature, being cunts and that they, much like the British media as a whole (and I'm specifically referring to Andy Gray here) are blind to Rafa's genius.

I think there may well be some misgivings from the owners regarding Rafa's rotation policy. Lets face it many of us who've been brought up with the game struggle to understand the concept so 2 yanks are bound to be baffled by it all. I think the signing of Babel would baffle them more than Torres. Torres plays most games but Babel cost over £10m and is no more than a squad player. Obviously we all know you Babel is more for the future than for now but that may be a foreign concept to them.

I don't follow US sports at all. Could someone who does answer the following. Is there any rotation of players in their sport as there is in football or do they play their top players game in game out?

These would be the Americans that Rafa has said it is difficult to talk to due to time difference etc. His problem was they didn't want to talk about things (ie new players), he even said this.

Actually it's 3 games. Toulouse, Everton and Besiktas. He missed three others with injury.

Most of their sports have rolling subs, so everyone plays every game but no-one plays for long in each game (ice hockey, basketball, American Football). The exception is baseball, but even the outfielders spend most of the time sat on their arse in that game, so you're hardly going to need a rest. They rotate pitchers though, as their arms do get sore if they play too often.
