FFS yet again Parry comes out to defend hicks in the media without a mention of Rafa!!

Well they sanctioned the release of designs of a new stadium that got us all well excited and it seems they have changed plans for no reason.

We will have to wait and see but at this stage they are looking pretty ****ing stupid. I will reserve final judgement until the results of "the meeting" and the disclosure of the stadium that is to be built.

However by that statement it is clear to me that we are not building the stadium they said they would. That in itself is an embarrasment on a large scale and I for one will take everything they say from here on with a very large pinch of salt.

Sorry mate, not having any of it. Think it's been blown out of all proportion, yes he threw a strop in public, but what's happened since then? Nothing. No sacking, as we were told by those "with contacts" that it was imminent.

By the way I was well within my right to have a pop at Rafa for the Reading game, I thought he binned it, picked a team/stupid formation, and we lost. I though it was bang out of order, and I'm right behind him, support him 100%, but it was a complete debacle that could've been avoided with some common sense.

And I think Kuyt isn't good enough for LFC, but unlike the criticism of the yanks, I base my criticism on what I see on the pitch, not on third hand rumours off some net wannabee, or a certain turncoat journo I could mention.

So far the yanks have done nothing wrong, have they? What have they done wrong in your opinion mate, anyone for that matter? Tell me, give me a list of transgressions. Give me facts.

A club as unique as ours deserves a stadium as unique as that we were shown in that 20min "new anfield" video thats being shown on our tv channel most days.

It's like Dhavlos said about the dangling the carrot.Thats why i'm dissapointed.

I said similar on another thread, what exactly are the Yanks supposed to have done wrong? Apart from delivering us players like Torres, Babel, Luca, Benayoun etc and helping us off to our best start in years?! Have they sacked Rafa or refused to buy anyone in Jan? No.

And statements like 'the situation in the credit markets has not affected our design, programme, or implementation of building our new stadium' would seem to refute all the heresay about the new stadium being ****ed.

There really is an amazing amount of whingers on here, not to mention the 'rabies' brigade who start foaming at the mouth with no facts to back anything up

It's been interesting to see the level of xenophobia toward to the Americans on these boards since these negative rumours started.

By all means pile in on them if they sack Rafa, **** up the stadium and take the club to the dogs, but there's been no evidence that they're going to do any of that.

And why would they, look at it logically, they're here to make money, bottom line.

I think quite a few people are going to end up looking very silly.

Just out of curiosity Fiddy where do you stand on this...would you be happy if we reverted back to the original design? I have stated on here numerous times over the last few days I don't care about what stadium we play in once it has a greater capacity (70k hopefully). The liverpool fans and the atmosphere we create is what makes anfield special. These are things that we control and will never change no matter where we play.

I've had a fair few bevvie's at this stage so perhap's I am jumping the gun. From what I have read though I think it is a fairly good bet RS4 has been spot on and we will end up with a different design. That's all well and good as it might be better and cheaper.

What pisses me off is that they have made us look stupid and they are yet to back our manager. TBH if they came out in the press and announced Rafa was getting a new 10 year contract tomorrow I would not give a **** about the stadium because in my eyes Rafa is the only one at the club who has a vision for this club that truly reflects the supporters.

No I wouldn't really be happy, I just haven't seen any concrete evidence to believe it won't happen yet that's all. Would be nice to have the best looking stadium in the world and would be a let down if it wasn't after seeing those plans, but as you say the fans and atmosphere make the difference and it'll be nice and shiny regardless
