Well they sanctioned the release of designs of a new stadium that got us all well excited and it seems they have changed plans for no reason.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWhat have they lied about then?
Don't let the absence of facts get in the way of a good witch hunt eh?
We will have to wait and see but at this stage they are looking pretty ****ing stupid. I will reserve final judgement until the results of "the meeting" and the disclosure of the stadium that is to be built.
However by that statement it is clear to me that we are not building the stadium they said they would. That in itself is an embarrasment on a large scale and I for one will take everything they say from here on with a very large pinch of salt.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You do make your point well and yes, your right, there is no evidence.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWhere's the evidence?
From a bunch of net wannabees and hacks that Rafa's close to the axe?
Sorry mate, not having any of it. Think it's been blown out of all proportion, yes he threw a strop in public, but what's happened since then? Nothing. No sacking, as we were told by those "with contacts"
that it was imminent.
By the way I was well within my right to have a pop at Rafa for the Reading game, I thought he binned it, picked a team/stupid formation, and we lost. I though it was bang out of order, and I'm right behind him, support him 100%, but it was a complete debacle that could've been avoided with some common sense.
And I think Kuyt isn't good enough for LFC, but unlike the criticism of the yanks, I base my criticism on what I see on the pitch, not on third hand rumours off some net wannabee, or a certain turncoat journo I could mention.
So far the yanks have done nothing wrong, have they? What have they done wrong in your opinion mate, anyone for that matter? Tell me, give me a list of transgressions. Give me facts.
I bet you can't, because they haven't. It's been a perfectly orchestrated with-hunt by a bunch of look at me cunts who just love the attention it brings.
And it makes me tired, lets **** those ****in inbred scum cunts tomorrow. Come on you ****in reds.
However, from parry's response today, imo,it looks like we are not gonna have the "super" stadium which in turn dissapoints me.
A club as unique as ours deserves a stadium as unique as that we were shown in that 20min "new anfield" video thats being shown on our tv channel most days.
It's like Dhavlos said about the dangling the carrot.Thats why i'm dissapointed.-----------------------------------------------

I said similar on another thread, what exactly are the Yanks supposed to have done wrong? Apart from delivering us players like Torres, Babel, Luca, Benayoun etc and helping us off to our best start in years?! Have they sacked Rafa or refused to buy anyone in Jan? No.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostWhere's the evidence?

And statements like 'the situation in the credit markets has not affected our design, programme, or implementation of building our new stadium' would seem to refute all the heresay about the new stadium being ****ed.
There really is an amazing amount of whingers on here, not to mention the 'rabies' brigade who start foaming at the mouth with no facts to back anything up

Let me start by saying RS4 is no bull****ter, and is completely on the level.Originally posted by Skillz View PostWell they sanctioned the release of designs of a new stadium that got us all well excited and it seems they have changed plans for no reason.

But, it's still only a rumour. Why not wait and see, instead of jumping in with both feet and rushing to judgement?
It's been interesting to see the level of xenophobia toward to the Americans on these boards since these negative rumours started.
By all means pile in on them if they sack Rafa, **** up the stadium and take the club to the dogs, but there's been no evidence that they're going to do any of that.
And why would they, look at it logically, they're here to make money, bottom line.
I think quite a few people are going to end up looking very silly.I hate Polanski

Well, the fact that he says an improvement on the original design says to me it's not gonna be an improvement on the "super stadium" design.-----------------------------------------------

Straigh off, I thought Moores made a mistake selling to the Yanks, but I was prepared to give them a chance. I guess we wil see how it pans out.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostTalking about Dave Usher and TLW, here's a post of his, from 24 Nov
Is Moores still on the "inside", does he know how the Americans are running the club and what plans they have? If so, and Usher is right that Moores does regret selling to them, then it's another thing he's got wrong, and I'm really worried about the future of our club. "Sold to the USA"
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Please kids don't try to read too deeply into something where Parry actually says **** all except that the credit crunch isn't affecting the plans, the rest is fairly vague.
Maybe the club should stick to letting Ian Cotton make all the announcements, there's never any room for misinterpretation there

Just out of curiosity Fiddy where do you stand on this...would you be happy if we reverted back to the original design? I have stated on here numerous times over the last few days I don't care about what stadium we play in once it has a greater capacity (70k hopefully). The liverpool fans and the atmosphere we create is what makes anfield special. These are things that we control and will never change no matter where we play.Originally posted by Fiddy View PostSo..because he doesn't refute any allegations they must be true...and then we start splitting hairs over there being an 'original' stadium and a 'super' stadium

Ok,what improvements is Parry talking about if he's refering to the "new anfield".The unique design if you like.?
To me that says impovements on the original design, the one that was designed when G&T bought the club. The other stadium is a totally new design, not an improvement, imo.Last edited by kop-al-74; 15-12-07, 05:42 PM.-----------------------------------------------

I've had a fair few bevvie's at this stage so perhap's I am jumping the gun. From what I have read though I think it is a fairly good bet RS4 has been spot on and we will end up with a different design. That's all well and good as it might be better and cheaper.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostLet me start by saying RS4 is no bull****ter, and is completely on the level.

What pisses me off is that they have made us look stupid and they are yet to back our manager. TBH if they came out in the press and announced Rafa was getting a new 10 year contract tomorrow I would not give a **** about the stadium because in my eyes Rafa is the only one at the club who has a vision for this club that truly reflects the supporters.

No I wouldn't really be happy, I just haven't seen any concrete evidence to believe it won't happen yet that's all. Would be nice to have the best looking stadium in the world and would be a let down if it wasn't after seeing those plans, but as you say the fans and atmosphere make the difference and it'll be nice and shiny regardlessOriginally posted by blacky View PostJust out of curiosity Fiddy where do you stand on this...would you be happy if we reverted back to the original design?
