The most important thing is that money should be available to compete. No use building a stadium worth 24 carats if we are limited in cash for team strengthening.
In principle I agree with that, it's just a let-down after we'd seen those amazing plans and given that we hat we've been promised was a lot more impressive that what we're going to get. If there was any doubt about securing funding for that design then they should never have publicly revealed the plans.

On the point of team strengthening and the new stadium shouldn't interfere with that, yes I agree with that also, but we also need to bear in mind that this stadium will be around for decades and decades to come, and we only get one chance to get it right, so it's worth doing properly and making the absolute best of it that we can.

RS4 was spot, as was Jan Erik who posted the stuff that GG said last night as his mate had been at the meeting.

Forgive my ignorance, but doesn't this mean we have to go and resubmit a planning application and go through all that mess again? Meaning the stadium will probably be put back another year?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

No matter how bad, the stadium will fill itself. We're Liverpool.

At least these yanks had the balls to come clean on this and confirm the rumors. The damage is done, in a sense anyway, because they tried to eye candy us with all their comments in the beginning.

I won't ever be 100% behind them, unless they back Rafa in the transfer market (and that's not spending for the sake of spending but merely giving him the latitude to sign whoever he wants) and they deliver a stadium quickly without any more hassle.

And yes, they should resolve the communications issues once and for all. I don't want us to go through this **** again.

I like how they've buried this in the we love Rafa statement, just like our modern day governments of burying bad news on big news days. Also how Parry thinks 70000 is a magic number and by quoting it we the fans will get all happy.
The Echo have mentioned it, like you say, buried in an article titled "We're Right Behind Rafa". Why haven't the Echo dedicated a new and whole article to this story alone like they did on Saturday with Parry's bull**** statement? Have they been instructed by the club? I wouldn't be surprised.

New planning app, if there is an increased capacity then it would mean it could take some time. The council may not want such a large capacity.
Back to the drawing board basically. Parry says it wont put us back at all but I can not see this being true.

Parry assures us there's no delay
                We come not to play.

                    To quote Rafa.

They promised me a Sofa but they bought me a Lamp.

I'm gutted. We would have had the best stadium in the world, bar none. Now we won't.
                    Oh I don't know.

Am I right in thinking that to get a 70,000 seater straight off, the transport issues are going to come back into the equation.

If so I don't see how Parry can put a timescale on it.

They promised us a Rolls Royce and they are going to buy us a Ford Focus.

                          We will.

It just won't be as ostentatious or expensive.
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

They are going to have to apply for 60,000 first and then whilst building apply for the extra size.
