'It's all bad publicity' <- who makes things 'public'? The press do...says it all for me.

'Making us look like cunts' by what...doing what's best for the club and not wasting £200m pounds on useless steel? If you recall correctly, the initial planning application way back in October 2003 was submitted with an £80m, 60000 seater design. These costs have obviously over time spiralled, however now £200m pounds are what, loose change?

So if the Americans wasted £200m pounds on bull**** and didn't 'go back on their word' (everyone can make mistakes, granted maybe the new design shouldn't have been presented with such aplomb and I agree that it makes us look a little silly, but ultimately I give 100% a **** about our team and not what the other teams/fans/press think about us), then they would be better owners?

    well said

and what I've highlighted in bold goes for over 70% of this site at the moment!
"the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"

"i personally hold you and several other gob****es responsible for the chaos this club is in"

People are not using the media's portrayal as the basis for their arguments, it's the fact that the club has allowed the poisonous media portrayal to fester and gnaw at the team and manager putting undue pressure on them that has got people's goats up.

        Well done RS4

So disappointed that we are going to have to go for another cheaper alternative, the planned stadium would have been phenomenal. I understand the financial reasoning behind the decision but it is definitely embarassing for the club.

Can we have a bit less xenophobia please, it's really starting to leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

The baseball player in question is A-Rod Alex Rodriguex, Hicks signed him and his team came last in the 1st two years he was there, after the 3rd year the Texas Rangers needed to get him of their books so sold him at a loss to the Yankees.
            We come not to play.

was just about to ask that myself

It's like Middlesborough buying Kaka, and not being able to get a decent team around him so it failed

However what nobody can deny is that change has been happening and when change happens there is always a divide in opinion on whether it's good or not. However, in my opinion, it's better than being in a stale state. There's a long way to go and 6 months is not enough time to be basing an opinion on someone, in my opinion.

Time will tell, however I truely believe that the Americans have good intentions at heart and will not try to deceive or con us fans. I am fairly certain they don't take us fans for granted and I'm fairly certain that ultimately they want the best for the club. There will be hickups along the way, but at least there's progress, on and off the pitch. There is - with everything in life - always room for improvement. And at least this is the general direction in which this club is going.

I wish I could share your optimism but the way I see it is like this:
                              - They promised initially not to put the burden of debt used to buy the club back on the club. they look to be going back on this
                              - They promised Snoop Doggy in terms of transfers for players, the statement made in last month or so suggests they've invested enough money in players
                              - The new ground - after going on about making the ground unique and big ideas etc it seems they are back tracking on this.

Now I know the credit crunch etc has had an effect and that steel prices have been increasing potential costs of the stadium. But these are the 3 main issues we were looking at when looking for investors. Taking these issues into account I would hardly say things are moving in the right direction
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

RS4 when do you anticipate being in a position to give us the lowdown on the plans for New New New Anfield?
