Well, whatever way you put it.

        a little harsh

They will not loose the club if they do not refinance it by the due date. They will just have to pay financial penalties which are high

Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. I read what I see in the papers (via the internet). I read what you and others post on here (positive and negative). I also read the actual quotes from Hicks, Parry and Gilett to a lesser extent). I then assimilate that information and form an opinion.

If you're really interested (and I doubt it), my opinion is that T &G have not done as bad a job as many on here think. I think they have been guilty of incredibly bad timing with regard to the financial markets (their business model is based on borrowing. Nothing wrong with that in the past 15 years. In fact it was a licence to print money if you could add value to your acquisition).

They have also been very naive, and have been on a steep learning curve. They have also not helped themselves in terms of PR.
So as supporters of the club are we to be happy with that level of 'performance' by our new owners. Bad timing and naivety aren't really the sort of words that fill me with confidence, indeed you could say they're attributes of Moores and Parry but at least Moores had a passion for the club.

What annoys me the most is the PR stunt they pulled on us, they were billed as super rich billionaires when in truth they're not and are reluctant to use any of their own money to push the club forward. Even the money for Torres and Babel is 'allegedly' tied up with the initial loan. My fears will be put to rest when the work begins and the owners make a public statement as to how they successfully refinanced the loan until then i think it's only right that fans have concerns about the clubs finances as there appears to be plenty of evidence to suggest there are problems.

Just read Tom's post and was going to put this. Also on the day of the announcement of the takeover Parry was asked by northwest tonight what would happen with the stadium debt and he said it will be secured against the club as this was standard practice. Nothing on that front has changed.

If it happens to displease you, simply ignore it. If I was to post that I'd been told we were about to sign Kaka, you wouldn't be posting the stuff in bold would you? People on here only want to hear good news it's frankly hypocritical.
Tom we don't know what you heard, you only said we have lost the club and went on a couple of month depression stint. You have never said what you have heard you have just talked about what the papers have said so please tell us what you've heard.
If you told me we would sign Kaka my response would be that is good if it happens, I only take facts as facts not opinons or rumours.

                  Some key points.

G&H must deliver a new stadium, I don't care if they put the club in a lot of debt when they pay for it, that's just normal.

G&H shouldn't put the club in any debt to pay for the club.

G&H should do what they promised. Back Rafa in the transfer market.

When they have done the above, then I will be happy and will welcome them with open arms.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yes, but they have backed him so far in the market so i'm not worried on that point.

You can be as happy or as unhappy as you wish.

The credit crunch has caught out an awful lot of people globally, including the Northern Rock bank. The price of borrowing has escalated. There is nothing anybody could have done to foresee that.

It was also made clear from the start that T&G would not be putting their own money in. It would be borrowed.

With regards to the PR aspect, I agree. It has been far from ideal.
                      Oh I don't know.

What they spent wasn't more than what Moores did. Investment was supposed to up us a level. What we spent, equates to roughly what we earned via our CL run.

and they should continue to do so in every window or else we will be left even further behind at the top.

Exactly, plus the new TV deal had come in, which was more cash again

I told you. We weren't siging Masch and that the yanks wanted rid of rafa. Subsequently this stuff came out in the press.

They haven't backed him. The money they spent this year was part of the re-financing deal that they are now trying to get the club to take on as debt either as part of the stadium deal or by putting on our books. They haven't spent a jot of their own money.
