Yes, by all means keep it tight at the back, but I do feel that we need to commit players at times in the attacking third if we have any hopes of getting the win there. I expect Rafa to play Crouch up front on his own and beefing up the midfield with 'runners' to support him (e.g. Gerrard, Garcia, Pennant or possibly Bellamy even in a widthdrawn role). This won't be a bad idea as long as the support is there alongside Crouch when he has the ball in the final third - he's been so isolated against them at times over the past year in games that he's no option but to lose the ball after being out-numbered by them.
What is important though is that we need to score this time around as I feel we haven't caused enough of a threat to their goal in past games down there.
Here's hoping!
It's a matter of finding the right balance isn't it?
As you said, we really need to score this time ESPECIALLY that first goal...
"In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down."
Taffs, when things are down luck always plays it's part in making things worse.
As for the Sunday, I'll be happy with a point. It's a bogey stadium for us, they're playing better that us at the moment so Rafa must get his tactics right. We can't afford to fall behind them and Manure by much at this early stage of the season.
The thing is the best teams always seem lucky. It's because when they don't get much luck they win anyway. When they do get luck people go on about them always being lucky and never suffering misfortune. Undoubtedly luck plays a part in any result but in the grand scheme of things it's far from a case of just waiting for our luck to change.

Fair enough.
As I said before, its been the defending that has let us down more than anything else...

Mike Riley. Robben, Ballack, Terry, Carvahlo, Lampard and Drogba. Diving. In Penalty area. You get my point.
Chelsea is always going to be a threat coming forward with the quality at their disposal.
But what is slightly encouraging from Liverpool's perspective is that their defence hasn't been rock-solid so far this season. The loss of Gallas was quite significant in my opinion and they don't have adequate cover for Terry and Carvarlho.
I'm still dreading Sunday though. I don't want to go through another depressing week...

What u reckon he odds of getting a penalty at Stamford Bridge this time are? I'm sure one of the dirty Chavs will handle the ball in the area, again.
They don't have Tiago anymore, but I'm 100% shure someone will replace him and handle the ball if not even grab it. But... I'm also shure the ref will wave 'play on' as usuall.
