Very strange mate, we've been shocking in this competition on the whole. The Marseille and Besiktas away games are two of the worst performances I can recall in recent memory, certainly under Rafa. And yet the way we've demolished the Turks and Porto at home proves to me what a weak group this really is, which should really give us more than enough confidence to beat Marseille away. But given what a massive game it is I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned or that I was completely confident. Mind you They're 16th in their league, have lost 2 home games already and we're more than capable.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

we must keep winning- this weekend is not easy but i do think we should win
and in rafa's FA cup season kewell started the vast majority of our most consistent league campaign- adding much needed balance and width to the midfield. he wasn't devastating, but he was one of the reasons stevie g was."At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. I really think that since the Blackburn game we have been a different team. We have imposed our way of playing on every game since (I would argue that game too but that is arguable) and I have no fear of anyone at the minute. While I am concerned I am very confident we will do a job against Marseilles.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostVery strange mate, we've been shocking in this competition on the whole. Nonsense, if we go through, we'll have deserved to.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostSame here mate, I'm not too confident about the game tbh, we don't particulary deserve to go through through at the end of the day, apart from demolishing Besiktas we've been very poor in CL this year.
I just hope that we can beat them at the end of the day, we're playing very well at the moment but it will be a very difficult game that. Like you said, just worried that it may affect the players confidence for the rest of the season.
It's still baffled me as to why we've been so ****e in the CL this year, maybe we've been a bit too confident thinking we can just breeze through as we've been in the final for the last 2 out of 3 years which is a very poor attitude to take going in to matches. It's even harder to take considering how well we're playing at the moment....strange!

C'mon man, we have been poor in the CL. In the games against Marseilles, and Porto and Besiktas away we were wank. If we go through it doesn't necessarily mean we deserve to, if we beat Marseille we've been very lucky.Last edited by Slinky Skills; 06-12-07, 01:34 AM.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That doesn`t make sense.we were poor against Porto and Besiktas in the 1st games and then beat them convincingly in the 2nd games thus making us the better team on aggregate(I know it`s not Knockout but you get the point).Overall we have been the better team in this group.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostC'mon man, we have been poor in the CL. Just because we've played a few **** games doesn't mean we don't deserve to qualify. We've been outstanding for the last few games so why not qualify on those merits?
As for the league, it really is getting interesting! More so when the African Nations Cup kicks off! Let's hope we can keep a clean bill of health for the rest of the season.
We have players out too so we will improve even further when they do return, Agger and Alonso especially.
I hope that we don't sell Crouch and if we do, we find a player of even better quality. The January window will be very interesting also!

So if we do enough to go through, we dont deserve to?
How bizarre.

We're just **** hot at the moment.
Not only are we not conceeding goals, but we are creating.....in more ways than one.
We are creating openings in all teams and these are leading to good to very good scoring opportunities.
In the past we have created chances, but not as many clear cut chances as we are right now.
Added to that it's the first time in 4 years that we have had a striker who can take all kinds of chances and create his own chances.
We are also playing some lovely football, very pleasing on the eye, and I cannot remember us playing to this level for 5 successive matches.
Gerrard is hotter than he has been for a couple of seasons, he seems to have that hunger and I think a key factor is that he and Torres have already got such an understanding of how eachother play...it's a similar sort of 'telepathy' to what Owen had with Gerrard!.
Now in the past we have relied, almost solely, on Stevie for the creativity and dazzling football, but Benayoun, Babel, Torres and Kewell all seem to be wanting to do the same thing.
I have no issues with Rafa rotating the team, but i would like to essentially see very similar starting XI's for our next three matches.
Babel is nothing short of sensational off the bench at the moment. I guess this gives him some additional time to settle in the side and into the EPL, and once he is fully settled I think he'll bring much of the qualities that Ljungberg and Pirez brought to the gooners in their peak.
Kewell and Benayoun add such balance to the team, and the fact that neither of them is particulalry wasteful, and track back, means that there is less pressure on defense.
Then of course there is Lucas and Javier!
As long as Voronin, Pennant and Momo do not play too much we'll be ace.
As for Kuyt - I still think he'll improve and we'll see him play alot better!

Aye it'd be terrible if our best player of the first two months of the season and our second most intelligent striker got picked regularly. I'd be ****ing livid.Originally posted by fowlen View PostWe're just **** hot at the moment.

reading the earilier posts its tiresome in the extreme when people make out we are a two man team. torres and gerrard are two very important players but if they get injuried what then, we pack up and go home?
we are in the position we are in because of the contribution of several players so lets not make out only two players take to the pitch on match day with the other 9 still sat in the dressing room.
lastly lets just take it one game at a time and not get carried away, we looked like world beaters playing derby then had a succession of costly draws, thing change and quickly in football so just concentrate on one game at a time and that's reading away.

say whatever you want about the next league game - it's a must win game as the other 3 clubs won't all drop points in the same week. So if we're to actually win the league then we've got to finally realise our potential and win the vast majority of our games; no slip ups against lesser opposition and also take points away from home against the other 3 clubs.Liverpool born and bred.
