Remember mate that for any flight you have to be there at least an hour before it leaves, they close the flight for check in before that. Going from Canada to Cyprus would mean you would have some luggage to. To ensure you have time for your flights etc the best bet may well be flying to Heathrow in the evening. Both BA and BMI fly to Heathrow at the same time 6.50pm, the BA one arrives 10 minutes earlier but you will have to pay extra if you have more than 1 piece of check in luggage, plus if you are flying in to Manchester you can keep your luggage there.

From Kingston, taxi is the quickest route may be 20-30 mins depending on traffic, going through Teddington and Hanworth. Buses take longer and are less frequent on Sundays. From Wimbledon the tube takes longer.

If going by train then you can get off from Watford Junction and get a bus but again being Sunday it may be less frequent. The train will end up at Euston and so you can get across to Paddington. Both the Heathrow Connect and Express can be caught here, the Express is quicker and goes every 15 mins. Costs over £15.

Given the chance and finances plane is your best bet, you are likely to catch the whole game and be more relaxed, not clock watching as much. Although this is more expensive of course.

    Good luck

Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

It's the best thing about reds fans, most of us would pretty much do anything for other fellow reds

Are you gonna have like a big **** off hold all? If you are they might be funny and not let you in with it. If your getting a lift of Syd, might be better to meet him before and dump your **** in his car. If you cant, if youre in the Kop just come to my gate and I'll let you in with it.

                    Cheers Chris

I'm actually thinkng of coming in on an earlier flight getting me home on the Saturday. I can then drop everything off and leave it there....I'm coming back again a week later for my Christmas hols. But if for some reason it doesn't go according to plan then I may well have to take you up on that offer.

                    Again, thanks mate...it's appreciated

Am I missing something? Why don't you fly from the UK direct to Cyprus rather than via Canada?

I'm coming from Canada but I need to get back to Cyprus straight after the match. So I'll hopefully be on the 10pm flight from Heathrow getting me to Larnaca on the Sunday night

Only problem is, it's a 68 minute journey apparently and coming back from Liverpool normally takes me anything between 3.5 hrs and 5.5 hrs, depending on the traffic.

If we got back in the car at 3:30pm, we could be at kingston by 7-7:30pm if the roads are kind, which would be good for you. If it goes tits up on the motorway though, we might not get to kingston til about 9pm, in which case you'd be completely fecked.

It could be ideal for you, but it might also screw you - i cant predict or legislate for the traffic unfortunately.

                              Your shout mate.

Drop him at Feltham mate. Its a £1 bus fare from there! Or as you will pass the M4 on the way back you could drop him off! Its a 2 minute deviation from the M25!

Not a ****ing chance its quicker. I'll guarantee that for you. Best way from South West London to Heathrow is a train to Feltham and pick up the bus that goes straight into Heathrow.

Let me think about it because a flight out of Manc to Heathrow at 18.45 on the Sunday may well be my best bet.

Iceman...thanks for the tip. I'm just not so confident regarding train services on a Sunday. I'll decide within the next 24hrs.
Desert, £30? You're being ripped off there mate. Its no more than 9 miles! I got back from Heathrow the other day at 1am back to Herts for £40!
Are you the Judean People's Front?

I dont know my way around feltham and at that time of a sunday evening with work in the morning, i'd rather not be trying to experiment my way around areas i'm unfamiliar with. Kingston's a piece of piss and if red al's offer of a lift from there to heathrow goes ahead, he's sorted.

And i wont pass the M4 on the way back, i dont go via the M25, i do the M40 route.
