Remember mate that for any flight you have to be there at least an hour before it leaves, they close the flight for check in before that. Going from Canada to Cyprus would mean you would have some luggage to. To ensure you have time for your flights etc the best bet may well be flying to Heathrow in the evening. Both BA and BMI fly to Heathrow at the same time 6.50pm, the BA one arrives 10 minutes earlier but you will have to pay extra if you have more than 1 piece of check in luggage, plus if you are flying in to Manchester you can keep your luggage there.
From Kingston, taxi is the quickest route may be 20-30 mins depending on traffic, going through Teddington and Hanworth. Buses take longer and are less frequent on Sundays. From Wimbledon the tube takes longer.
If going by train then you can get off from Watford Junction and get a bus but again being Sunday it may be less frequent. The train will end up at Euston and so you can get across to Paddington. Both the Heathrow Connect and Express can be caught here, the Express is quicker and goes every 15 mins. Costs over £15.
Given the chance and finances plane is your best bet, you are likely to catch the whole game and be more relaxed, not clock watching as much. Although this is more expensive of course.
Good luck
