I'm sorted now. I'm flying in a day early so I've got no problems getting to the game on time and I've booked myself on a flight from Manc airport at 18.35 on the Sunday which gets me into Heathrow with 2 hrs to spare before my Cyprus flight.

If any of you fancy meeting for a couple of scoops of ale before the game, let me know. I'll be more than happy to buy you all a pint

i dont believe it for a minute based on what i was told about a resignation but the fact that gerrard and carra were non committal in any of the rumours has knawed at me for a week or so. win or lose hope the lad is wrong. thanks kaip

He shouldn't be sacked, even if we don't make it through on Tuesday. Even if we lose at the weekend as our league campaign will still have some life in it, though admittedly we'll be quite some way adrift.

The problem is I expect Rafa will demand a certain level of backing in January and if the owners don't have the confidence that he is the man for the job with us being out the Champions League and some 10 points adrift in the Premiership then I can see a scenario where he walks citing a lack of support.

I'm one of Rafa's biggest critics and I'd be against any change mid-season, but I'm also against throwing good money after bad.

Hopefully its rubbish. But why did he play Crouch wide on Saturday and 2 defensive midfielders when Lucas and Yossi could have played? Why does he continue to do these baffling self-defeating things? In a game of inches why doesnt he give the team the best possible chance to win given the squad is the best he has ever had?

Also Jose is apparently knocking back the Engaland job. Rafa would have to win the league or the CL to be managing this team next season.
