Well I'm over it now. Reading Jocko's comments has cheered me up no end. Roll on Tuesday, and good luck Ricky Hatton.

Not if I improve my English.
Hehe
Everyone loses one day - today was our day.
Big games this week - Marseille and Utd - if we want to post-mortem - maybe after them
If you offered one defeat and two victories I would have taken itWe need better attacking players!
Torres aint enough

When we finish 15 points behind the title winners again, you can use that as an excuse for why Benitez, a man out of his depth, should stay in the job.
I get the feeling you've been waiting since August for our first defeat so you could type that.

Perhaps, but Man Utd had a poor first home game and have won 8 straight since. Had we not fkd about "resting" Torres against Birmingham or doing some other strange things then losses like this would be slightly easier to take. But when you drop points like that these losses become even more painful.Originally posted by The Glove View PostThats true. Man united should be beating teams like Bolton but **** happens. No team, no matter how much you might think it, can win every game.

So what about Ferguson leaving out Ronaldo etc... and losing at Bolton? Do you stll think they have a chance of winning the league? I do!Originally posted by Jocko View PostSorry, I thought we'd moved on from then.
4 seasons later and the same baffling team selections, rotation and average players are costing us points against **** sides.
If we'd played some good football and showed a bit of fight, I might be able to accept the defeat, but the fact is we play some of the worst football in the league and rely on a stifling negative system and one or two players to win us games.
And if we beat them next week we're level on points with them. Not bad for being so ****e, eh?Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

They shouldn't have had a pen. One goal down thanks to the ref.Originally posted by blacky View PostYet another naive AF post.............we also won games this season because of dodgy ref decisions. The reason we lost today was team selection and tactics!!
We should have had two pens.
We lost today thanks to the ref, no one else.
The tactics would have worked fine with a better ref. When you are a goal down then you must gamble and move up more players in attacking positions. Harpers goal was because of that gamble from us.
That gamble would never have happened with a better ref.
So, we lost because of the ref, not because of any tactics.
With a normal ref we would probably have scored three and let in ?.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

But hey, keep moaning you seem to enjoy it.
Well said. We've still got a great chance of winning the league this season and if we don't at least we have shown improvement. How far behind were we this time last season? How many games had we lost? We're getting better and now suddenly one defeat and the doom merchants have us marked out as a bag of ****e again.

We lost today. We are all gutted. It all went wrong for whatever reason, but we'll stuff the frogs and the Mancs and all will be well in the World.

I'm sorry but it has to be said that Rafa has shown his true colours today. What every fan wants is to win the Premier League, not Rafa. Rafa sacrifices 3 points in the league for the chance to progress in the Champions League.
Taking Gerrard off with 20 mins left was a disgrace. Playing two defensive midfielders against a muck team like Reading was a disgrace. Playing no wingers was a disgrace.
Yes, we've been on a great run but there was no reason why we couldn't keep it going today. Just stick to what we've been doing. Why oh why does Rafa change it? And what's the point with taking Gerrard off after 70 mins? Will the extra 20 mins benefit him that much?
Rafa wants the CL, plain & simple. And he's willing to sacrifice the PL because of it.
We'll go 10 points behind Arsenal tomorrow if they win. A lot of ground to make up even at this stage.
