After all this recent waffle about CROUCH not getting a game....and being courted by suiters.....HE WAS LESS THAN USELESS TODAY! We all know he can't head the ball to save his life, nor can he pass it....but now we mus add the complete inability to 'read' an attack...and get onto the end of crosses (how many of those did he fail top connect with today? What does he add to our team...? Nothing!

if you are asked to play on the left of a front 3 when you clearly should be playing in the centre then of course you gonna have a bad game despite trying your best

Crouch needs a winger that can put the ball in we didnt have one today and havent had for a long time this is we IMO Morientes failed in the Prem we didnt have any wingers at all to whip the ball in

Spot on fella, apart from we didn't get going until 30 minutes. the cynic in me thinks that Rafa was proving a point, by playing his squaddies against Reading.

dunno about that, a mid table team ala blackburn, west ham etc would love those 2 players, definitely better than Championship level.

You're not the only one. He had a better game; less misplaced passes and some tenacious tackling. However, playing him and Mascherano was a poor decision, as it left us devoid of creativity in the middle, with Gerrard pushing forwards more.

Wouldn't say championship standard. Mid table prem players. always were always will be IMO. I'm still shocked that we let Fowler go to accomodate Voronin.

I'm not a fan of Aurelio either. I hope Hobbs will come good soon because from what I've seen of him so far, his positioning is terrible. I do like his ability to 'play' from the back though and he's only young so here's hoping.
