I remember one occasion in the first half when he was on the ball in the final third. we were in a great position and he had an option left and an option right. It was 3 on 3. He proceeded to 'pass' (it wasn't even a pass, it sort of just came off his foot) 8 feet straight ahead to the nearest defender.
He has no passing ability, no shooting ability (1 shot in 17,000) doesn't count, no awareness of what's going on around him. generally he offers nothing going forward. an out and out defensive player who could doa good job for Bolton where you don't need to pass or think, just hoof.

well robbie has been injured quite a lot this season? there is no way he could have played the same amount of games crononin this year.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostNot shocked we let him go, shocked we let him go and replaced him with Voronin I said!
vrononin was bought as 4th choice striker.....so he is bound to have limitations! I mean who has a good 4th choice strkier? Spurs and ??_____________________________________

A fourth choice striker that has played as much as him though. Hmmmm. Who would you rather, Defoe of voronin?Originally posted by red g View Postwell robbie has been injured quite a lot this season? there is no way he could have played the same amount of games crononin this year.

And spurs are not a top 4 team.
Top tem equivalents
Pizarro
Eduardo
Saha
And Voronin plays a lot more game time that any of them. i'd take each in a flash over Voronin.

In fact you could even put Sheva in there as he spends more time on the bench than Voronin!!
He mustn't have been bought as a supposed fourth choice either as Crouch was demoted from the start. he was bought for rotation and as I said, all the aforementioned have spent more time on the bench..

Momo is a great player to have when you are a **** team that have to defend for large part of games. He is not suited to play in a team that attacks a lot and play a fluid passing game. It's not his fault, it's just the way it is. In my opinion :whatever:
Still, he is a Liverpool player and he is a part of the best midfield in the world, so until he gives me a strong reason not to support him (like Diouf
), I say go Momo as I will do with every other member of our squad!

I don't know where you get off mate...but I've supported LFC for over 35 years, and I care passionately about our substandard performances......If you're happy to just accept them....then that speaks volumes about you!Originally posted by biggidawg View Postjust wasn t our day. typical bull****er football fan if u ask me...makeing pointless thread,

What you have seen of Hobbs so far ?? regularly go to reserve games do you :whatever:Originally posted by Nic83 View PostWouldn't say championship standard. Mid table prem players. always were always will be IMO. I'm still shocked that we let Fowler go to accomodate Voronin.
I'm not a fan of Aurelio either. I hope Hobbs will come good soon because from what I've seen of him so far, his positioning is terrible. I do like his ability to 'play' from the back though and he's only young so here's hoping.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I dont think Voronin is as bad as most people make out him to be. When he plays upfront with Torres he looks moderately threatening ( atleast more than Kuyt). He looks lost when he has to play on the wings though. He is a good fourth choice striker.
As for Momo..I am being a bit harsh on him, but he shud not play unless 3 of our first choice midfielders are injured. Unless his passing improves to higher than Sunday league level, he should not play for Liverpool. In fact after watching Spearing's performance tonight, the lad deserves a place on the bench occasionally.

I think Cahill is brilliant, and not just because I'm Australian. He's one of the best poachers in the league, and you couldn't count the number of times he's won points for Everton by popping up with a goal when they need it most. Unfortunately I think he'd be a bit of a luxury in that we have better midfielders than him and he'd therefore either have to take the place of one of our playmakers or one of our forwards. However I could see him as an impact, super sub type player, and he'd work well with Kewell, but I think he's the type of person who would rather be a big influence in a smaller team than just another player in a bigger team

You are so wrong about Crouch, after Torres he is the must start striker, he causes problems for defenders and is a genuine goal threat, none of the other strikers we have do this. OK he can't head a ball but his performance on saturday was more down to tactics than the player himself. Sissoko is ****e and we should have sold him in the summer, of that there is no doubt.Originally posted by geoxf View PostI don't know where you get off mate...but I've supported LFC for over 35 years, and I care passionately about our substandard performances......If you're happy to just accept them....then that speaks volumes about you!
Away to Newcastle we played the same system and battered a poor side, the main difference for me in that game was Kewel and to a lesser extent Kuyt, he is actually not to bad playing on the right of a 3. Rafa got it wrong on this occasion.
