I agree but looking back he was awesome for us in some key games but not consistent enough at the top level. To top it all off at least we pinched him from the miserable bitters ehOriginally posted by desertscouser View PostIt's even more unbelievable that according to his last quotes he actually thinks he's good enough to play in the side more than he's doing so. Considering we have Leiva, Mascherano, Alonso and Gerrard vying fo the central midfield positions I would say Momo is bordering on dellusional. Not good enough to be in our squad imo and the fact that he plays less and less for us proves that Rafa probably deep down thinks the same.

I'm not a fan of these 'not good enough, get rid' type of posts and threads, particularly when the lad just wants to play and not sit on the bench, esp in his native country. If he didnt want to play, then perhaps I would review his position. That said momo's flaws have been all to evident of late and his passing is incredibly sub-standard. His tackling his phenomenal at times, but the subsequent inability to lay off a simple ball, leaves his tackling prowess somewhat impotent. Its no good being brilliant at chatting up birds if you cant close the deal now is it?
Ah feck it, he's not good enough, get rid.Fernando Torres
I dont just love him, I'm IN love with him

Momo was never good enough. His passing was always in through the outdoor. We always looked like ****e with Mono on the side. Said it since the very first day I saw him play for us.
He can run and kick people. That's it.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

Shame for Momo - when we beat West Ham in the cup final a few years back he was outstanding and the best player on the pitch imo. Even during extra time when are usually fit players like Riise and Gerrard were ****ing knackered/pulling up with cramp etc - momo was every where - he covered every blade of grass and was class that day. He was unlucky with a few injuries (shoulder/eye etc) and just never seem to bounce back, It's almost as if (as someone mentioed above) our style of play evolved and he has just been left behind - add to it the emergence of Lucas who is doing better than anyone expected, and it looks like Momo time is up.
It's a shame cause of what he could have been, but he just can't pass, shoot, run at times,
After some of his performance this year, if he was a horse he would've been shoti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Sad to see him go - if he does end up going.
Not surprised at the asking price as I'm sure he signed a new 4 yr deal pre-season?
I had high hopes for him after he joined LFC but he's never developed as a player since, even tho he hasn't played much this year at times he has shown some neet footwork in the tackle and getting out of it. The problem comes when he just doesn't seem to have the touch to play a decent pass which for any amateur footballer is a neccessity and he's meant to be a proffessional footballer.
It could have something to do with his eye injury but tbh he's never really had the skill. He plays best with Xabi as he breaks up the opposition midfield attacks and xabi passes it on - remember the FA cup win over the mancs at Anfield? But that's all he is a hacker who can destroy the opposition midfield but then someone else better take hold of the ball after that otherwise we'll lose it.
Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

I do think I would give MOM to Gerrard. Two goals is better than covering every blade of gras in my book. I'm funny when it comes to things like that...Originally posted by PTP View PostShame for Momo - when we beat West Ham in the cup final a few years back he was outstanding and the best player on the pitch imo. thats fair enough - it's mad tho - i went the final and as everyone was walking out the ground most people were saying how good momo was - he was unbelievable, Once i got home and all my mates who watched it in the pub were ony talking about gerrards goals (amazing that they were) i felt quite gutted for momo as his performance was overshadowed. Taking nothing away from gerrard - he scored two fantastic goals - but seriously there were times during extra time when momo was the only player we had on the pitchOriginally posted by CAD View PostI do think I would give MOM to Gerrard.
