    Riise

    Are there any fans LEFT?!

I think he's a great option for the squad. I wouldn't play him week in, week out but think he's quite a good player. Not a world beater but there aren't many left backs I can think of that I'd swap him for.

He's especially good for home games against 'lesser' opposition where we can effectively push him on as a left winger leaving Kewell to push into the hole giving us extra "pothebilities".

Seems everyone is on his back these days.

Who's with me with my support for the ginger one?

he not the worst, he has been here a long time now so he can obviously play a bit.

    decent squad player
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Everyone knows the limitations of Riise yet in previous seasons his positives out weighted the negatives (IMO) sadly, his goals have dried up and his direct running seems to see him running into trouble....

Sorry mate i'm out, in fact i'm in the Anti Riise gang - He has the physical attributes to be successful but just no footballing brain.

If we want a squad player then i'd prefer Insua.
          We come not to play.

yeah i'll back u up - tho he has frustrated me recently (his crossing against arsenal i think it was) was ****ing ****. Still in the premier league there is prob only ashley cole and evra who are consistently better. Riise is a very solid squad player who can be an option at left back or left mid and he is capable of scoring some screamers. Ideally we would have a world class left back (who i don't know) either Kewell if can continue to improve or a world class left winger - with riise as back up/rotating for both
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

watch him smack one straight into row z from 35 yards and there were 2 or 3 better placed team mates more like...

Insua looks very good; see him last night?

BUT, are there many fullbacks that actually have (or need) a footballing brain?

sure if they don't have one they can agitate at times but for me, the full back slots are the positions where you're least affected by lack of brains

Better left backs in our squad.....Aurelio, Arbeloa and Insua.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I was going to say my 'fellow ginger one' but decided against as it may have turned into a ME bashing thread!

forgot to mention his long throws. They are a weapon. as good as a corner kick when we get a throwin within their final third.
