But you have to be both blind and stupid not to acknowledge that they are clearly our two best players.

How on earth can anyone justify taking off Torres and Gerrard and leaving Voronin and Sissoko on when trying to chase the game?

That's because we didn't. Rafa gave up on it.

I'll repeat my question again, why aren't more people outraged that Rafa didn't deem that match worth fighting for?

Oh do be quiet you miserable ****wit.

We won tonite, we lost on saturday, it's football, get over it.
    Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

Whilst I'm in agreement will both Niall and DJS over the Reading game I'd counter it with the view that we actually gained two points on Arse over the last two games. Thus we are two points closer to the top.

As a club and with the quality of squad we supposedly have we should be able to run rings round Reading as well as beat OM and Manure. The issue for me are that 1/ Our squad doesn't have that strength in depth to cope without SG and Torres (and before someone comes back with nor could Manure, Arse etc - who gives a **** who they can't cope with) 2/ Too much pressure has been placed on Rafa to achieve the knockout stages of the CL which shows me that money rules and the Americans haven't a clue 3/ Why the **** was SG and Torres kept on for so long when we were walking it with such an important game to come yet on Saturday they were pulled off when losing. It makes no sense at all. Rafa may know what he is doing but I'll wager no one else does. Sometimes he invites pressure on himself. Perhaps that's just his way.

Because it was a disgrace, that's why.

Look at our recent form. We should've tanned them, and had Rafa not made a complete balls up of the team selection, then when it went wrong, threw in the towel we'd really be sitting pretty.

Now the scum game is a must win, instead of a must not lose.

Now tell me how what he did makes sense?

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

and one thing we know is rafa has worked out every small detail so why dont you get off his back? not as if he is doing a bad job......
You're missing the point, which isnt surprising for a RCDNW sheep...

He took off Torres and Gerrard at Reading, to keep them fresh for an important game (tongiht's)...

Tonight, the game was won at 3-0 - and the next game is an important one...yet, he doesnt take them off early enough (or at all, in SG's case).

So the philosophy he used at Reading, clearly isnt THAT important to him, as he ditched it tonight.

Absolutely bizarre and defying all sense. DOES he believe in keeping players fresh or doesnt he??

Please change the record, and get over it.

Tonite was way more important than saturday, and Arsenals result also helped us out, absolute long way to go in the league, so take your doom and gloom somewhere else.

Saturday was the first time all season we'd lost in the league, or had you forgotten?

Where are you getting this from?

Our worst performances this season were against Marseille (home), Besiktas (away), Birmingham, Wigan and Spurs.

In not ONE of these games did we play with two defensive midfielders.

You are going to have to re-evaluate.

Woosh...there goes the point over your head.

Turn your own argument around - if Rafa thinks taking them off before the game is over to keep them fresh for another game is a good idea, why the feck didnt he do it tonight?

Either he has faith in his methods or he doesnt.

The subs at reading and tonight's lack of 'protection' for the key players just smacks of sheer randomness. Not someone who has a master plan.

Course it was important, but at this moment in time, tonite game was worth more to us in money, and I'm affraid that's more important then 3 points on saturday - I can go along with Rafa's subs on saturday.
