Well, of course they would. That's not what I meant, and I am sure you can guess so anyway.

Thing is, Sky would claim a match was the battle of the seasons after 5 rounds, even if Man City and Newcastle were tops and playing that weekend...just to put the dramatic spin on to attract viewers. That was my point anyway.

I don't think this weekends game is make or break as we are still not halfway through the season. I would like a win to shorten the gap though.

I think it is must win, more for our players belief we can win the league more than anything, as CMS has pointed out we go to the other big three away and we have only 2 point from home games against them so far, if we win Sunday then can take 4 or 5 from the away games it could be the difference.
We know LFC play better under pressure so a good run now getting us really close or to the top of the league and who knows what could happen, oh and Rafa has never best Utd in the league...

Another fact is that we're playing catch-up already, and any more points we drop will just make it harder.

Believe me, I still believe we can do this, but with Arsenal dropping points that was a massive missed opportunity. Even a point against Reading would've taken us closer, but our manager didn't give us the best possible chance to achieve this.

I dont accept the decision but i understand it, thinking with head instead of heart he is right, i was ****in fuming at the time cos i saw it as what it was...a concession against a piss poor side.
I try to think in the context of 10 game batches, so if we win the next 3 we will have 8 wins a draw and a defeat, which aint bad.
It does make sunday massive mind but thats probably a good thing tell em its a cup final Rafa!!

Tropheys aren't handed-out in May. Liverpool fans used to know that.

We're just off the top, in the form of our lives with the second half of the season to come - a half we get stronger in. We've lost just one league match all season and have qualified from our champions league group. We're in our best position for years. Let's get some perspective please.
