I also think Rafa thinks his long term future is upfront, but he isn't ready to play on his own there or be the focal point of our attack, IMO. Henry was a complete player, as he could play with his back to goal and as a flyer running onto through balls etc ... With time, I'm sure Babel could become an even better player though.

Babel's future is up front, I wasn't keen on that idea before because he wasn't a very good finisher at Ajax, but it seems confidence was the reason for this. He's a really composed footballer when he's got confidence, and it looks like he's enjoying his role at the moment as a super sub.

Yes, Torres and Babel together could be one frightening combination at some point in the future. Could be sooner than we think.

Babel is still a tad raw but is going to be awesome, as for Torres well what a player.

Have been saying for a while that I would love to see Babel start up top with Torres as it has the potential to be an explosive partnership. That said, Babel is still a bit raw and I think Rafa has handled him very well - he is proving to be a very effective substitute, coming on late against tiring defences and he has got a few goals of late as a result. This will improve his confidence no end & I think he has the potential and raw materials to be an excellent player for us

Oooooh can you imagine Ferdianand and Vidic ****ting themselves with the prospect of facing Babel and Torres up front at Anfield on Sunday in a must win game for the reds?

Babel can become a monster, but for me we’re still best served with him coming off the bench.

I probably agree with that, give him this season as an impact player. I'd expect him to be looking for a consistent starting place in the first XI next season though.

I totally agree but it would be nice just to see them get a game together up front some stage this season, just to see what they can do.

Absolutely stunning finish. Like everyone else I think he's going to be great and expect big things from him.
