Was watching the game with a fellow red in a pub in Newington Green last night. We both agreed that Sami has been a stalwart for our club and up there with many of the great defenders we have had. Doesn't miss his pace because he never had any, but his positioning and strength are still second to none. I for one can remember the **** defence we had before he joined (Phill Babb, John Scales and Neil Ruddock anyone?) and I can tell you this guy has made a huge impact on our team from day one.

Big respect oges out to Sami

When you think back to how many games he has bossed, he definitely deserve's massive respect. Played fantastic since the OG's.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

It looks like torres acknowledges harry's ability as gerrard does, and the 3 of them seem to gel so well

He's had a horrible time with injuries since joining us. Fingers crossed that he stays fit for a while this time around.

Yossi Benayoun. Another good display from the little Israeli. Looked good in possession and defended well. I'm glad to have him as a Liverpool player.

And...Dirk Kuyt. Played well today. Sure, he's got his shortcomings, but he does provide a good foil for Torres, and I'm glad to see him take his goal well. He's come in for a lot of abuse from us this season, some of it well-deserved, but he deserves credit for today's performance. I'd start him against the Scum on Sunday.

A fit Harry Kewell is as good as a winger in Europe and certainly makes a difference to our team when he plays. Give this man a contract, pay as you play would do nicely!!

Harry brings some balance to the squad that we seem to miss when he isn't in it.

Great to see him back, some of the stick he got was sickening. We look so much better with him in the team, he makes passing the ball look so simple and should get a lot of assists with Torres in front of him.
