Seriously disappointed with the guys here as I think everyone should have a chance to submit views and threads on the site and aren't on here 24 hours a day to read every article to make sure repitition doesn't occur. The first time I've really heard some "insider" info and put it on here, along with observations that I think are important and I am ridiculed. Cheers fellas.

And how you base your opinions it's a non-story when actual credible insiders throughout other fan sites agree that this is such an important matter (ie the editor of the biggest LFC fan site thinking last night's game was one of the most important games for decades, for example) and after the game last night and the implications it had, I thought I'd post something. Excuse me!

And if you think I should move on, then, apart from a real and current story which involves replacing the manager and therefore the team and in my opinion, changing the face of our football club (in terms of football and fabric) for the worse, what would you consider I think about in future and contribute to on this site, the 'Is Torres pretty' thread, or 'Is Kewell important' thread? Amazing!

        Indeed.

They must have been briefed to say absolutely nothing about it.

Mate, no-one's knocking any insider info. It's just that this topic has been done to death. In this day and age of the internet, instant publishing and feedback - it's very easy to get worked up about a single topic. This is a serious matter, we all know it, but we can't discuss it ad nauseum.

If Rafa was going to be sacked, then G&H would have done it at his first outburst. Following the recent results, qualification for the latter stages of the CL and our best players hitting purple patches at the same time - Rafa's stock is high. He's not untouchable by all means but he's damn close to it.

I know what you mean, but the thing is:

            a) it's not insider info - it's from a mate of a mate and you don't know where the original story came from
            b) there are one or two factual mistakes in there, and it contradicts itself saying that Rafa is not going to be sacked and it's a misunderstanding, then following that up with "he's burnt his bridges and is going to be sacked"
            c) it reads exactly like someone putting two and two together from all of the stories on the net over the last few weeks
            d) if c) is correct those sort of rumours have been done to death over the last few weeks.

So I think a lot of people have taken it to be another baseless rumour, and not worth bothering with.

I appreciate that you posted it in good faith though, and I'm sure everyone would agree that it is the most important topic for the future of the club at the moment.

I was surprised both SG & Carra didn't back Rafa last night, they had ample opportunity to. I can only assume they've been told to keep quiet.

As for the original post, I still think its very valid. Just because we won last night doesn't alter the fact that there were and maybe still are, divisions between Rafa, Parry & G&H.

If Rafa was brassed off either with Pary and/or a lack of funds, then last night changes nothing. I don't think Rafa's position is in any immediate danger but what happens longer term is a different matter. Unless the problem has been sorted, it will re surface sooner or later and if it does then who knows what may happen.

I was initially disappointed that Gerrard didn't back the manager, but then Carra got up and said almost the exact same thing, "That's nothing to do with us, we are (as always) focused on playing our football". I think they have been, understandably, told to say nothing, but I am positive that they are in no two-minds about who should be managing the club.

After watching the way everyone played yesterday I have no doubts they are all behind him.

IMO that was the best 90 minutes we have played under Benitez in a big game. Chelsea at Old Trafford was pretty good from memory, with Harry starring again.

Sounds right, " Just concentrate on the job and don't get drawn into the speculative bullsh1t media games, we've got trophies to win!"

I normally don't read much into sh!t like this but after the game watch Rafa and Stevie hug each other....I think Rafa may have even given him a kiss

I can't remember tha happening before.

The players are behind Rafa and in my opinion it's best that they shut the f**k up and let their talking be done on the pitch and not off it. We don't want Drogba's and Lampards in our side shouting their mouths off to the press every 5 seconds...fat good that did for Mourinho before he got the Russian's bullet.

I noticed the Rafa/Gerrard hug and I was glowing about it. There's certainly not usually that level of affection on display.

The squad/management team looked 100% united last night, on and off the pitch. A beautiful sight.

Couldn't agree more. As I said earlier, I am struggling to think of a better 90 minutes we have played under Rafa. Considering the pressure that was on and the venue I can see why Rafa feels so proud.

And I swear to god Rafa kissed him. The players are 100% behind the manager imo.
